Ordered some takeout from Nu Era tonight for the first time. The food is fantastic, great prices, and big portions (have leftovers for tomorrow). Also, the woman working when I was there is amazing. Super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
First time trying the food and let me tell you, I LOVE IT!. The food has so much flavor and the egg rolls are homemade. The service was so nice too. He was really kind to double check I had everything. I really recommend this place.
Parking: It's a street parking place. But there's plenty.

This is some good, affordable Asian food!I got yellow chicken curry and it was super good, and there was a lot of it! The mac n cheese was definitely store-bought Kraft mac n cheese (or something like it), but I like that kind of mac n cheese so it was good for me ? The only bad part was the wonton soup, the dumplings were slimy and not great tasting. But hey, it was like $5. That being said, I would absolutely get more yellow chicken curry ?

Fresh. Cooked to order the way you like it.
I need to be clear about one thing: I am a food critic. Not literally, but as close as possible to literally. I've spent a ton of time in the industry and I don't praise lightly. This place has the nicest staff and some of the best Chinese-inspired food I've ever experienced. The Shrimp Fried Rice is fantastic, despite being a traditionally "whatever" offering. I can very clearly call it the best shrimp fried rice I've ever had. "You telling me a shrimp fried this rice?" No. A shrimp would be terrible at running a kitchen. Tiny arms. The chicken egg rolls are also solid. I don't know if they're made in-house, but their eagerness to sell them implies they're not happy leaving them in a freezer for a year, so that's a good sign. The atmosphere is a little weird -- They've clearly stocked up on random bodega-style offerings to keep afloat, but if you want a bottle of dish soap to go with your Beef and Broccoli, you've got it. Also, their brown sauce for the beef and broccoli is thin but delicious. The white rice drinks it, and so should you. Also, the portion sizes are massive.I'd steer clear of any of the stuff that doesn't sound like it belongs in a Chinese food restaurant. I haven't had everything on the menu, but some stuff is always put there for the locals without taste buds. If you ask whether something is good or not, I'm sure they'll tell you. For every miss, there's a grand slam. Find your thing, friends. At the end of the day, it's Chinese food. If you like Chinese food, you'll like this Chinese food. It's not going to change your life, but it could very well change your day.

I’m good !
The food being cooked at this restaurant is beyond delicious! The Mongolian Beef, Shrimp Lo Mein, House Fried Wing Special, their homemade dipping sauces all excellent. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat that you will get your money worth as well as quality food. Take a trip to Nu Era Take Out; they always remember you and welcome you back with genuine hospitality.
Vegetarian options: They have no problems customizing your meals for you all you have to do is simply ask. Very accommodating couple who just want you to walk away happy and fed.
