Im a veteran from the last world war and part of the greatest generation and we always come to old country buffet or the ponderosa for all American food from an all American restrant the ladies are nice and good looking, but not "too' good looking if you know what I mean I like to eat the mashed potatoes even though they give me the runs from time to time the missus used to say I had to much prune juice before she took a vacation with the lord almoty.
They sent me a coupon for a free birthday meal. Unfortunately, they closed two months ago.
The waitress we had was really nice, the price was ok, but the food was spotty, some deserts I might have liked were missing, many items like the beef was old and dried out and the hot veggies were over cooked.
Was a good place, but just closed down today
It was very good, great food and very nice staff. We wen ty there after my pops funeral with a party of like thirty people. The staff was very accommodating and the food was very good.
We don't have these in Virginia anymore so we were wayyy beyond excited to go to this one when we found out it was near a hotel we were staying at. I applaud the staff for dealing with our totally overwhelming happiness of eating at one after missing the food for about 15 years! Thank you all so much.
Price is great for the food they have. Tacos sectionwas so tasty.
Fantastic food well kept eatery. Nice staff.
Delicious as always, what I love about old country Buffett you can go get your own drinks in golden corral you cant do that
Always a pleasure! We go twice a year through the Railroad Museum of Long Island durring the TCA York Train Show! BEYOND polite staff every time.
Restaurantji Recommends
I see all the negative posts on here about this restaurant, but the reality is the environment is always positive for my family. they do family nights on Thursdays, they do a military Monday every week their food is always switched out for fresh when empty, and the staff are always there to help. the prices are reasonable given how many options you're always getting and they offer large take home holiday meals if you don't want to cook. I will always recommend this establishment to any and all who are looking for variety and don't want to go to multiple restaurants to get it.
Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Large variety of food, but no flavor. Very bland.
Food was ok. Not as fresh as I would have liked. The restaurant itself was very understaffed. We ended up clearing our own plates more than twice. Unfortunately a child had vomited while we were there and there was only 1 staff member tending to that mess. Might I add, he did so with grace, and without complaining. However he certainly could have used some help. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was less than desirable.
I use to eat there until I started working there part time. The things I seen while I was employed there.Breakfast is probably your best bet if you go there but I would not recommend it. Things like temps never taken in back of house, sewage by double doors smell the place up every morning but is mopped up truthfully no lie. I’ve mopped it up myself a few times lol.staff in and out back door smoking all day never washing their hands etc. things like chicken, beef, ribs etc, soak in double sinks all night.( needless to say I have plenty of videos to prove it...) and this is very resent. Management are just as bad so issues will never be resolved...
food not that good, diet coke tasted funny, coffee warm, some trays emply bathrooms for men smell awful
