Food is AMAZING always. However the lady who takes the orders, is not friendly nor welcoming! She is always getting smart and giving a stank attitude and smart remarks. Stuff like this makes people not want to support businesses. If she is not people friendly she needs to be in the kitchen or doing something else.

I always would go here great food great vibes recently I went in and they had a young lady at register who seemed miserable not pleasant or welcoming was uncomfortable to be there do to her energy and other customers were also complaining about her demeanor and saying if she don’t want to work then quit I agree I spent 56 dollars well worth it food was good but her energy was so negative I don’t ever want to come back again sorry not sorry!

honestly, this was my first and most likely my last time ordering here...: the fish was OK but under seasoned, collard greens were nasty like they didn't fully clean it, the cabbage tasted like it's been sitting in vinegar, oxtails did not have gravy and was small amounts, and in the description it doesn't show that it comes with white rice already, yellow rice was OK, but it was too many beans, sweet plantains were good and the seafood salad, not every place will be everybody's cup of tea and something I understand, it was my first time since I wasn't around here, and I had high hopes because everybody kept saying how certain foods were good and certain ones were not.... the lemonade was aight too

And it’s honestly absurd the amount of disrespect I experienced in three minutes of being in the store. I will never be back again and advise you to avoid it unless you like being treated like garbage. My order was also just sitting there for minutes before they gave it to me, even tho they knew i was there and they weren’t busy.
I was dying for some catfish, mac n cheese, and rice/gravy. My sister found this place and I ordered. First, we were disorganized and were going to be a fair amount later than originally planned. I called and the man who answered was so kind and gracious, said he would drop the fish about 20 minutes later, and he was spot on with his timing.
She brought me the food (I’m currently in the hospital, no dietary restrictions) and it was the BEST CATFISH I’ve had since I was a kid visiting in Louisiana. It was fried hard, the spices were perfect. It was SO GOOD. And then I had the rice and gravy with turkey wing — oh my. I definitely over bought, so sent the leftovers food home to my guy who wasted NO time agreeing it was some of the best (and plentiful) catfish he’s had. The portions are large.
I enjoyed the bite of mac and cheese I had, but honestly at that point I was so entranced with the other two items I don’t really remember much about it. So it is probably amazing, too, but I was already entranced with the other items.

How do you get people to return when you made us wait (while the order was ready behind you) because you were standing there talking to someone else? Terrible customer service and the place looks disgusting inside AND you gave me the wrong change 🤦🏻♀️
