"Pizza Box and Hoagie Shop on Vander Avenue in York was out of compliance with 16 violations. The inspection report says there was a mold-like substance inside tuna, mice droppings throughout the facility, food stored with chemicals, and an open bag of sugar stored inside a dirty basket."

Husband and I just waited 40 minutes for 2 subs... when we actually got the food his sub was soggy and falling apart. We had to go to the counter and ask for a refund and then manically the food was ready. This place is a joke. Never recommend. Horrible first time experience!

The guys here are unsanitary and unkept. Guy at the front scratched his head then grabed my sons slice of pizza. The dinning area is gross and dirty. You can tell that they dont care about customer service at all. The ice skating rink needs to change vendors.

Called for a large sub, wasn't advised that that amounts to two normal-sized subs. Got there and was hit with a bill over $13.00 for ONE SUB! Then, the roll was so hard on the edges you couldn't bite through it. I've been to the Manchester location and had a good experience there. At this one, not so much. And to top it off, the guy there had all the personality of a dead fish. Avoid this place if you can.

Horrible service. I was here at lunch time and no one was around. Note said "be back in 10" and they were gone for probably 20 mins. I order the special which is 2 slices of pizza, and they didn't even have any prepared. Very unfriendly staff as well......

The food was fine but the staff isn't very friendly, cursing with children around. Last time I was here they let me and my girlfriend order 2 daily specials. Went back a second time and they wouldn't let us order specials together not even as two charges.
