We just celebrated our Dover Area High School graduate this past Saturday (5/31/25) at the Roosevelt Tavern, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the service—was absolutely FANTASTIC.

What made the day even more meaningful is the personal connection we have with this place. The father of my children, Edward “Peewee” Green, was a chef here many years ago under the previous owner, Bob Schimmel. Sadly, he passed away in November of 2012. Though...

Every Meal here is a experience for the taste buds. My family loves the tried and true recipes that are always on their menu but we also enjoy the new specials they cook up. And the amazing desserts that they serve. I have never had a bad meal here and just enjoy everytime we go.

We had an excellent Easter dinner at the Roosevelt Tavern. It was a buffet with New York strip steak, Ham, Shrimp and much more. It was so nice sitting down at a table with a tablecloth (white) and cotton napkins. Thanks for keeping that much missed detail alive. Dessert were also top notch. Lemon Blueberry cake was the best I've ever tasted. Finally the service was excellent. Very attention and knowledgeable on menu.
