I’ve been to the central market location a few times, and have unfortunately been disappointed each time, but just figured I picked the wrong item. Yesterday I got the pumpkin roll (about 1/3 the size of a regular pumpkin roll) which was $18. $18!!! The price was not labeled, so that’s on me, I should have asked. I wouldn’t have minded the steep price if it was good, but it was inedible. The allulose sweetener made the cream “cheese” gritty and sickeningly fake sweet. I had a few bites but felt sick for the rest of the day. I am all about supporting small businesses and I rarely leave negative reviews, but I can’t justify almost $20 for what I received.

Safe and sweet is one of my favorite Lancaster Central Market stops when I’m trying to keep the sugar intake low but am craving something sweet! Her food doesn’t feel heavy or have a negative effect on my system it just makes me happy! And the owner is hard working self aware woman that just makes me want to support who she is and what she provides to the world. It’s not just about the food at Safe & Sweet. It’s about the good energy she brings to world as well.

I was looking for sweet treats in the area and found this place and thought it was cute ! I went in to order and I got two cider donuts out of the bakery cooler they were sitting in and paid 14.00 of my hard earned money for these donuts when they were handed to me they were cold so I asked the cashier if they were supposed to be cold and she said yes . I left to get in my car and try them and they were not tasty to me so I hesitated going inside to ask for something else because I do not like conflict . So I went into the store and the same cashier came out who was nice to me by the way and I said these exact words “ hey , not to be rude but I did not find these to be tasty and they were cold “ before I could even say anything else the OWNER LAURA came flying over the back telling me “ leave them on the counter and do not come back “ and I told her to calm down because I hadn’t even had a chance to finish my sentence . I asked her if I could get something else because I did pay $14 for TWO donuts and she said no you can leave and not come back . And I let her know I wasn’t being rude to her I just didn’t like the donuts and she told me to leave and that I would not be receiving a refund and I asked for her name and she gave it to me and told me to leave the review . As a Christian woman first and foremost I felt horrible because I’m not rude to people and she was completely nasty and as a woman of color it did not feel good but regardless of the shade of my skin no one deserves to be cut off while talking and told to get out and never come back . Would I recommend this place I’m not , maybe she’ll be nicer to you , maybe she was having a bad day . There’s Grace for her but she should be held accountable for her actions .

It’s incredibly hard to find a place that’s gluten free and sugar free, so I appreciate that I have a place I can turn to. I was very surprised that the cinnamon bun and donuts tasted good because I’ve had a lot of bad sugar free desserts and gluten free desserts. However, I do find the frosting on the Cinnabon and donuts to be very overpowering perhaps less sugar free sweetener. And some of the stuff I have gotten here are kinda burnt at times but other than that it’s a great place for your gluten free and sugar free needs.

Safe and Sweet catered sugar and gluten free desserts at our wedding (macarons were absolutely DIVINE!), we appreciate that they accommodated dietary restrictions. Their regular desserts were flying off our tables!! In short, we couldn't have had a better dessert caterer
2 years into a bariatric journey means trying to maintain a low carb/sugar lifestyle. I have had my eye on this spot for AGES, & my fiancé decided to bring home a few goodies so I could celebrate my birthday with a sweet treat. Blueberry lemon donut, boston cream donut, & a s’mores brownie….all amazing!! It’s nice to have delicious sweet treats without having to compromise on what makes me feel good! I can’t wait to try more!

4 and a half stars! Went yesterday just to grab a cinnamon roll after seeing pics of it online. I was a little disappointed it didn't look exactly like what was on the pic (probably because the icing was cold solid on the bun and it was wrapped ready to go) but it was delicious! I can't wait to go back and try more stuff from them. I do wish they came warmed up. Got mine on the go but next time I'll have to heat it up. The young lady behind the counter was super nice and good atmosphere!

Thank God for this bakery. It's the only way to get my sweet fix. Dairy free. Sugar Free and keto is all I need and they have it. I try to stock up ever 2 weeks I wanna try there delivery next time

my daughter was visiting from Ohio and I wanted her to have a special dessert for the holiday that she can eat. she is gluten free and vegan. They had several choices to choose from. She was so excited and chose several items to take with us. This was my first time here. we will definitely be back. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend them.
