Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.
Subs was to salty
1st visit went well , although they were busy and our order was confused with another customer.
Classic pizza shop eats and flavors.
2nd visit left me wondering... ordered pizza and wings ...but our pizza just sat as a Togo even tho we were dining in..
They got some work to do with staff, I think
Just tried the new items on the menu. Best pizza in town no question! Owners and staff are amazing!
Great service and food.
Our family stopped here by chance after soccer. Never been here before, never heard of it, but we had a 5 star experience. Pizza was great and fast, the owner was super friendly and helpful, and handed out free t shirts to the kids, just for fun. I will absolutely be back, even though we are 45 mins away. Super friendly, delicious, etc... I cannot say enough.
I didn’t actual go there but heh… Jake reference…
Food was great ! And they was so nice to my kids they even cut there pizza up which I really appreciated !
Garbage!!!😡
I came to Shakey Jake’s all the time as a kid—I grew up right in Fireside, and it was always a staple for our family pizza nights. I hadn’t been back since I was 18, and now at 25, I decided to stop by for old times’ sake and grab a sandwich and pizza. As soon as I walked in, the memories came flooding back—especially that iconic purple sign and interior I remembered so vividly from childhood.
To make the visit even more special, I had the joy of meeting the new owner. I was reminiscing, and he greeted me with such warmth, even gifted me a T-shirt and magnet. That kind of hospitality really stuck with me. The food? Still amazing. Some things never change—and I mean that in the best way. Shakey Jake’s continues to be a beloved staple of the Fireside community, and I’ll happily travel that hour just to experience that familiar taste and kindness again.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food with heart and history behind it!

My two year old is literally in love with Shakey Jakes pizza!!! She ate 4 slices from a large pizza to herself. The pizza & wings are so good although I wish the wings came in a bigger quantity than 12 max but otherwise I love their food. Customer service & delivery is very good. 10/10 would totally recommend!
Ordered a pepperoni pizza, the worst pizza ever! So much cheese we couldn't pick up without the cheese sliding off, let alone trying chew.
Ordered around 4:30
Food was good and staff was friendly, a good selection of food. Will be returning!
AMAZING FOOD!! great people really nice! Went today for my birthday today and the pizza was amazing! I can't understand these negative comments seems just salty people can't understand things happen and they try their hardest to fix it for you but hey 🤷 the food is to die for I water at the mouth whenever I bring it up is it a bit pricy? Ye BUT! 1) You support a small buisness and 2) compared to other mom and pop shops they're honestly on the low end of pricing so it's not bad plus they have online ordering with REWARDS and you rack up points fast on top of CONSTANTLY getting coupons for 15%, 20%, even 30% like I've never gotten these kinda deals even at major chains love this place I could go on!
Great food at a great price.
