Our new favorite restaurant. Great food at a great price

My husband and I been looking for some fried fish and soul food and we found this place 5min from us. It was our first but definitely not last time. The fish was fresh and fried toperfection, mac and cheese reminded us of back home in jersey, the Yams were my favorite side. The seafood salad had huge pieces of shrimp. Everything was delicious and we can not wait to order again. The service was also very pleasant and friendly.

Went with a party of six. Menu selection was limited. Subs were dry.

I keep it super simple when it comes to my cheesesteaks and the one I ordered from here was surprisingly very flavorful and extremely filling. Wasn’t a fan of the french fries, but the carrot cake & sandwich was delicious. I ordered through Uber Eats and they followed my meal instructions perfectly with leaving the lettuce on the side. I look forward to dining here in person and trying out other menu items.

The Atmosphere is always pleasant with nice music playing in the background. Everyone is always very pleasant, and the food is always very delicious and well prepared. I'm told the owner decorated the restaurant himself, well he did a beautiful job because the restaurant is beautiful. I also like to mention, the whiting, collard greens, sweet potatoes and cabbage is excellent, these items are not listed below as one of the dishes I would highly recommend.

Parking: There is a parking lot with plenty of spaces to park free.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a ramp for wheelchairs in there beautiful courtyard that leads into the restaurant.

While searching for a local place to eat during our stay in York, PA the Skillet2Plate Soul Bistro popped up, so we decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked in we knew we were going to love the place. The decor was very nice and inviting, the two young ladies at the front greeted us warmly and the food was delicious. I got the shrimp bowl with there bussin sauce and my husband got the salmon bowl. Both were delicious as well as the two sides that came with them. We had great service, great food, and an inviting environment.
You definitely need to check this place out.

Probably the cleanest restaurant I've seen in York in a very long time with the best food (especially the collard greens best I've ever tried) and incredible prices.

My nine-year-old ate her fried whiting so quickly that I didn't have the chance to get a picture!

Portions were generous, and Lauren was so kind to accommodate our areival close to closing on a Sunday evening.

Grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy their new location!

The atmosphere is not to be missed a little old world charm makes it fill like a date night while the magic of the location and staff reminds you of home.

This is the best place i have been in York for a bit of down home cooking. The brisket was moist, tender and juicy. Its hard to describe the unique flavors offered but the sweeet peach tea they bew is not to be missed.

The staff was attentive and courteous. Best date night in a long while.
