My husband took me for. my birthday and we had a lovely evening this past Friday, 6 October 2023. The service was superb, the food was presented in a fabulous manner, we loved the calamari, I had the crab risotto with Rabbit sausage, my husband had the Shark, we were too full for dessert, but we will return to this restaurant, the ambiance was classy and serene. I am an Artist and I painted a picture of he and I sitting at the table with our vodka drinks, mine a Vodka Martini, his a Vodka Hot and Dirty. Enjoy! Entitled, "The Vodka"Parking: No difficulty, we go frequently to the Appell and know where to park.

This was the place of an event that I was attending. Nice little place. Food was good. I got the 10 oz NY strip which was fair. The broccoli was horrible. Our servers were ok. The private room was nice.

If you haven’t tried this restaurant yet, you are missing out..great food, exquisite service..their filet is to die for- served with mashed potatoes perfectly seasoned with rosemary and tarragon. So delicate that it lifted the flavor of the potatoes to just melt in your mouth with a flowery, savory, buttery song. Our wait person suggested a beautiful peppery red that was so delicious and complemented the steak to perfection..My husband ordered the seafood risotto. It was beautiful, buttery and just delightful- he had to get a to-go box…very healthy portions! DO NOT skip dessert..;) Definitely good to put on your list-stop by for dinner..you wont be sorry!

Had dinner with wife and a friend. Wife loved the filet she had. I probably should have ordered the same. Both our friend and I had the fish. Although it was good, neither of us were wowed by it. Mixed drinks were very good. Desert was good as well.

The Left Bank was always our special, celebratory place. Tonight, we dined there for our anniversary & it was underwhelming. Food was good- not great & service was lacking. We’re hoping this is just a transitional time for the restaurant.☹️

Worth a drive traveling through bad weather. Paid parking. Waiting an hour for a table. A gem of York. Ate with a party of 7 and NONE OF US had a bad meal. Menu is modern and thoughtful. Drinks are imaginative. Excellent wine list. On my must do list for York.

Staff was very knowledgeable and really made the experience. The food was portioned, cooked, and presented perfectly. My wife and I never waited very long nor felt rushed when it came to our drink and food service… the drinks were neat and balanced, probably our favorite part.

Disappointed, went with high expectations, have been wanting to try this restaurant for a very long time. We planned on getting dinner however after a half an hour we only just had gotten our drinks and then we ordered the butternut squash soup which took 20 more minutes to arrive. It was good, After an hour we decided just to pass on dinner and pay the check. Not what I was expecting. Not sure how it was in the past, the one side was brightly lit not very romantic that I had envisioned.

My husband and I had dinner here on New Year's Eve and it was our first visit to The Left Bank. The food was unique and delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very inviting. We would love to come back for another meal sometime!
