Food was absolutely fantastic, but there was a bit of a wait for service. The bartenders and waitresses were absolutely swamped. Very busy place!

Kid-friendliness: Probably not very kid friendly. Kids are allowed but it is inside a brewery bar after all.

Atmosphere: 5

After pictures we get to meet the long time PEI blogger in person for the first time at the Abby inside Lone Oak.

Again, we visited in May before the whole area reopens for tourist so there is no line. You order your food and drink at the bar and they will give you a number to place on the table. Food will then be brought to your table when it is ready.

I continue my journey to find the best tasting seafood chowder in the Maritimes plus a side of sweet potatoes fries (with my fingers crossed that they are grown in PEI lol).

Taste is good but got marks deducted for including frozen vegetables. Also I don’t think I found any lobster meat in it. Overall, I would say it ranked #3 out of all the different chowder I managed to drink over the course of 5D4N.

Being part of the brewery means you have lots of choices on tap, so picking “the one” become a difficult task. We picked two fruity ones as recommended by our cashier and we enjoyed both very much.

The area reminds me of being at Niagara-on-the -Lake, except it is not filled with tourist. With such good food and nice view, I wish more people would come to PEI to visit!
