The best of the best and I must try ice cream shop! Locally made from fresh dairy, this place is a must visit . Beside the Cows ice cream shop there is a chocolatier which makes hand made chocolate covered chips, so delicious! You can also find a fresh cheddar cheese and butter.

I was very disappointed in my experience at COWS on the Boardwalk in Cavendish. The girl at the counter, who told me she was the supervisor (Mary Lou), was extremely rude. When I paid for my purchase, she shoved the Interac machine across the counter, stated the amount without saying “please,” and didn’t smile once. When the transaction was done, she shoved my purchase across the counter and said only “here.” I picked up my purchase and turned to her and said “you’re welcome,” and got a snide look in return. This is not the kind of attitude I expect from anyone in customer service, especially a supervisor. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience for being there.
This didn't sit well with me, and I returned afterwards to politely suggest that she be more friendly and courteous when dealing with customers. Her response, in a dismissive tone, was “sorry, I’ve been sick all week.” Being sick is no excuse to take it out on customers — a simple please, thank you, and a smile would go a long way. I watched her treat other customers the same way while I was there.
I love PEI and have always had such warm and friendly interactions no matter where on the island I have visited. This was the first time I’ve come across someone this rude. I will be following up with the manager.

Seriously excellent ice cream and I didn’t think style made waffle cones would make a difference but it really does. They also have really funny shirts in their gift shop. Got great shirts after a great ice cream cone. Definitely try the Messie Bessie.
