Every time I come to PEI, I always make the effort to drive down to Cavendish for this restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. The dishes were presented beautifully, you can tell the Chef takes pride in his craft. I had a couple things on their lunch and dinner menus and they did not disappoint! Staff was attentive and kind. The mocktails are great too! It’s a great local spot.

Our waiter was Ian. He was fabulous, attentive, prompt and friendly. The cocktails were fantastic! I had the blueberry lavender lemonade, its flavors quite distinct and delicious. The crab dip and beet bruschetta appetizers came out of the kitchen quickly to satisfy our hunger. The salmon special? Well, it may have been the best piece of salmon I've ever eaten other than fresh out of the Kenai River. I would love to return for the lobster pot pie... Thanks for a lovely dining experience!

My experience at La Rose Bistro was memorable for the wrong reasons. I was very excited to go try this cute restaurant out in Avonlea Village for a staff party this year. We had a reservation at 6:15 and didn’t get out of the restaurant till close to 9. Service was very slow. The staff was not friendly. I understand that it was busy, however there is no need to rush the serving of the food. My waitress, a young lady, nearly threw the plate on the table and my Halibut rolled off and all the mango salsa spilled on the table. She looks at me with an upset look and tells me to “pick it up”. I respond confused “what?” And she yet again says upset “pick it up”. I’m looking around feeling confused as she’s making this seem that it’s my fault. She looks to her male coworker and in a rude tone she goes “it fell”. I, the customer, had to be the problem solver in this situation. I look at her and say “the fish is still fine could I just get more salsa?” She takes the plate. No one cleans up the salsa, I had to and no one even came to give me a new napkin or apologize for the inconvenience. I have worked at restaurants before and I work in customer service so I am the last person who would want to complain or be an inconvenience. Our staff dinner was over 2 weeks ago and I am still thinking about how negative of an experience I had. The restaurant was also insanely loud I had to yell to communicate. Everyone in our party noticed the loudness. The food was fresh and tasty, however the drinks are not strong at all. I ordered a alcoholic cocktail, the blueberry lavender lemonade and my coworker order the same without alcohol and we tried each others and there was no difference. Unfortunately the bad service left a bad taste in my mouth so it was hard to enjoy the meal. I will not go back or recommend this restaurant.

Chicken tacos were bland and dry. The plate filler was a bunch of dry nachos chips without salsa or dip. Chicken fettuccine alfredo was ok.

The food is great with wonderful service.It is a bit on the expensive side. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is sterile. There is no decor in the small rooms, so if atmosphere is not important, then it's a great place to eat.
