Best spot in Charlottetown for ice cream! Portions are huge. Prices are low. Just wish they'd have a longer season.

The Maple Taffy was the best taffy I've ever tasted. How can I order some?

This place is the real deal. Huge portions, great ice cream, and reasonable prices. Basically everything that the COWS tourist trap isn't. Highly recommended!!

Stumbled upon this during our walk in the area and the sign:” the biggest ice cream scoop in town “ (or something similar) caught our attention. We already had ice cream at Cow’s and wasn’t satisfied (double scoop in cup for $8, and the quality was not quite there, the New York cheesecake lacked cheesecake flavour and the messie Bessie feels like it’s coming up short in the amount of inclusion ). The lady said I could pick three flavours for their little kitten cone, so I did and it was like three scoops! I had grape & nut, toffee almond, and peanut butter budda crunch . They were all delicious, much more flavourful and full of inclusions compared to Cow’s . The best thing is it only cost $5.75 (in cone). So if you are thinking of having ice cream at Cow’s, change you mind now and go to Billy Timber instead . The only comment is their cone can be crunchier.

Great ice cream. Mango sorbet was the best. Nice location near the water. Lots of flavors to choose from.
Piss poor service. Bartender told me; my wife and two kids that we were “annoying” because we were watching Lucas Oil Pro motocross on our phone, and no one was in there. Was incredibly rude to patrons spending money on food and drinks at this establishment. I told him that we wouldn’t come back then and he proceeded to tell us “good, don’t come back” Unfortunate experience since our cabin is just down the road. So If you are looking to take your family out to eat around summit lake area, avoid this place. Unless you like them talking down on your wife and kids that are under 7 years old. They should be ashamed and incredibly embarrassed!
So many flavours to choose from, and they are all excellent. You definitely need to check it out on PEI!

We tried the gooey wooey and chocolate cherry ice cream - both were very tasty and definitely worth trying. Worth stopping by for their ice cream selections which are very good and tasty. Location is setup at peake's wharf and one of the spots you can take a photo with the cow statue.
Stopped on our way north tonight and ordered a couple of the Shrimp Combo dinners “to-go”. All 3 different types of shrimp were amazing- plus the soup, salad, potato salad & chippers. Yum all around. Be patient and polite please, people. Like everyone else, they are understaffed. Enjoy your cocktail and chill out. Life is too short to be impatient. And their food it so worth it!
The flavour of cows is amazing! Well worth it! My complaint with this location was that I ordered a milkshake and the staff said the ice cream was too hard to scoop for the flavour I wanted.
COWS is famously known for some of the best ice cream in Canada. Although it is good ice cream, l am a little uncertain about the place itself. This review foes not contain anything about the souvenir shop as we did not visit it. The good: The ice cream is good. The young lady serving us took time to explain to us how the sundaes works. Lots of choices. The bad: Lines can be long. Can be pricey. But the thing that got me is how the six young employees kept talking to themselves, loudly, about everything and anything (like McDonalds comfort food for example). Although it was funny to hear, l do not think it has it’s place here. There is s tome for everything and makes the place look like it lacks management. So yes it is worth the stop on a hot day, and people are friendly, bug it lacks leadership.
I will definitely be back!! We didn’t want to wait in the Cows ice cream line up as it was a 25 minutes wait. Found this little ice cream place. Great price for the the ice cream you get. We got the junior size and it was very big. I got the cotton candy flavour and it tasted awesome!!? We will be back!!
