What a feast!!! The reviews on this place don’t lie, it is amazing, and you will not be hungry when you’re done. We had jerk chicken, curried goat, and a couple of patties. All were amazing, but the curried goat was just beyond!! Definitely a must go when in Charlottetown.
I was in PEI to speak at a conference in Summerside and decided to make a stop in Charlottetown to visit Boonoonoonoos Restaurant — and I was not disappointed!
The food, the atmosphere, and the energy were all incredible. It’s always a proud moment to see Black women in business thriving, and I’ve had the pleasure of watching Sacha grow into such a strong and talented businesswoman over the past three years.
If you’re ever in Charlottetown, make sure to check them out — you’ll leave full, happy, and inspired.

Overall great atmosphere and our hostess had a great vibe. The food was great but I have to admit it was a ridiculous wait. Looking forward to returning to this establishment and would highly recommend it if in the area.

The service and food was incredible. Curry Goat and oxtail were both tender, had great flavour and was a good portion. Plantains, Festival, Rice and Peas/Beans and Veggies Pasta were a great sides as well.

The food is very very tasty! We had the Curry Goat, and Oxtail meals and they were truly amazing!! We also split a Beef Patty starter which was perfection. Shasha’s service is fun, friendly, and super efficient. We left full, satisfied, and determined to come back for more. This rivals (maybe even exceeds!) the best I’d ever had in TO! This meal has convinced me to make Jamaica our next travel spot!

I'm originally from the Toronto area, but I have family in PEI. While visiting, my mother, brother, and I were craving Jamaican food and came across Boonoonoonoos. Being from Toronto, where there are plenty of Jamaican restaurants, I can honestly say, this was hands down the best I’ve ever had! I still can’t believe we don’t have access to this level of quality back home.
Our server was incredibly kind, helpful, and even shared some cultural insights that made the experience even more memorable. That kind of hospitality goes a long way. And the food? Absolutely spot on. I loved that the gravy came in a separate container to pour over the rice and peas—such a thoughtful touch, and we didn’t even have to ask!
I can’t wait to go back on my next visit to PEI. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. You won’t be disappointed!

We visit the island every year the last 3 years. I was curious if the island had Caribbean food as I’m West Indian and figured I’d try it if I found a place. So I found this place and we went for dinner and the food was soooo comforting, it was so flavourful and reminded me of my families cooking. Portion sizes are great and owners are lovely. We ordered the oxtail and curry goat. It was a perfect meal if you’re missing Caribbean food.
