Better than any fish and chips I have had in England. A half portion was the size of a full filet!

The food was delicious! They had a variety of fish with different cooking methods plus burgers, wraps, and more. The staff are also super friendly and kind and the newly renovated feel of the restaurant was a great experience. Highly recommend!

If I can give more than five stars across the board I would. If you are gluten-free and a coeliac in Prince Edward Island, this is where you want to go!! Not only was our food delicious but the staff is absolutely phenomenal! Add to that, my daughter is a coeliac and not only was she so safe there, they took the time to make sure that we knew exactly what she could eat. One of their sons is also a coeliac so they are extremely careful. They even had gluten-free beer, which is absolutely unheard of to see a menu. 10. Stars would absolutely recommend anybody. Please go check this place out.

A little pricey but excellent service
Food portions were big and delicious
Brits Fish & Chips is an absolutely incredible restaurant in downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Me and my family ordered the Fish and Chips Family Special. It came with six fillets and three sides. We had three cod and three haddock along with three orders of chips. The food was amazing, very nice fishy flavour, chips go great with gravy, and the portions are amazing. The haddock portions are huge—just one piece with some chips is enough. Next, the service was extraordinary. Our server was very insightful regarding the fish, and he was very friendly. He told us where the fish was sourced from, and the process it went through. Overall, Brits Fish & Chips is a five star restaurant, though prices are a little expensive. Still recommend trying, definitely worth the experience if you’re visiting Charlottetown.

We had a lovely meal at Brits Fish and Chips before heading to see a show downtown. The servings were copious, and the service was very friendly. We couldn't believe the size of our fish! Mom and I each enjoyed huge piece of crispy battered fish resting on heaps of fries. Dad had a big ole sloppy burger with all sorts of meats and toppings that he devoured happily. There were also lots of gluten-free options on their large menu. Great place to grab a real fish & chips meal in Charlottetown. Maybe leave time for a nap after . . . you may need it!

This will be another “must visit” anytime we are on the island. Friendly, excellent service. Portions were more than generous, and the food quality was great. The gluten free fish and chips were also a huge hit!

Arrived the evening of 13 Aug from Oromocto and settled into our accommodations with our young boy. All we wanted was a nice order of fish and chips to kick off our island vacation. Ordered a 2 pc cod meal, extra order of fries, and a side order of fried scallops on Skip. Our food arrived in good time and I can say we did receive an extra piece of fish which was a nice gesture, but in this case quantity did not make up to lack of quality. In all we paid almost $100 for the order, the fries were pretty good but stingy, the fish had a crisp but was overcooked, greasy, fish itself had poor texture and lacked flavour.
I’ve eaten here on a number of occasions and it is normally very good. This experience missed the mark - if it could hit the mark in terms of quality the value still lacks for what we paid.
This tells me there’s an inconsistency in quality and recommend exercising caution before eating here.
