If you are looking for authentic Chinese food in PEI, look no further. Don't let the name (Buen Amigo) confuses you. It is true Chinese restaurant. Love all the dishes we ordered. Service was amazing.

We stayed in PEI for about 3–4 days and visited this restaurant twice.
On our first visit, we ordered the Bifengtang Shelter Lobster, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and the Signature Eel Fried Rice. The lobster was absolutely delicious and highly recommended! The beef in the noodle soup was tender and flavorful, and the fried rice smells so good.
On our second visit, we tried the Spicy Lobster, Stir-Fried Beef Ho Fun, and Salt & Pepper Tofu Bites. Everything tasted great, but we would especially recommend the Bifengtang Lobster. The Ho Fun was not greasy at all and had a nice flavor. The tofu bites were made with soft tofu, lightly fried, and perfectly seasoned—crispy outside and silky inside.
This is our favorite Chinese restaurant on the island and also the one that gave us the happiest dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food in PEI, this is definitely the place to go!

The food was great the 2-hour wait with no warning about the wait or lack of cooks was bad customer service. If I ever go here again, I'll be asking what the wait time is. I suggest you do the same.

It is a great find on the island but maybe we came too late (~7:30pm), many of the dishes were sold out. We ended up ordering rice noodle with beef and beef with broccoli on the sizzling plate which were both delicious. The baked pork chop with rice is less authentic, the sauce being too sour. The size of our dishes were also on the smaller side. A great option for some reasonably good chinese food.

The Chinese food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. We reserved a table in advance and ordered ahead of time. The dishes were served in about 25 minutes. Every dish was delicious! We ordered eel fried rice, sizzling plate mushroom beef, and spicy boiled fish. The portions were large, and we couldn't finish everything. The milk tea at the restaurant was also good! If I come back to PEI, I will definitely come back here!

Terrible experience. Waited an hour and a half and only got one dish — which wasn’t even what we ordered. Service was unhelpful, with zero accountability. Completely different from what’s shown on Xiaohongshu — don’t trust the hype.
