We visited PEI for a few days and came to eat at Buono Mangia. The server was super nice, and the food was great! We were served warm bread and butter to start. Both of our dishes featured house-made tagliolini (melts in your mouth). The portions were large—we had to take some home in a box for later! Please come visit—it's worth it! The server said they’ve been open for 13 years. The atmosphere is warm and classy, and the music isn't too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. If I’m ever back in PEI, I’ll definitely be coming here again! I forgot to add: we overheard the server mention that they don’t offer takeout because they don’t want to compromise on quality. That’s remarkable!

Quiet, relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The service was excellent and food was amazing. Three of us had 3 different dishes and we all stated it was delicious. The evidence was on our empty plates.

Quick Question: Is BUONO MANGIA in Charlottetown, PEI, a racist place? ...because I went into this restaurant on 8/30 at 5pm and asked for a table for one. The restaurant was empty with only 2 couples eating. An older lady came and told me something like "we are not equipped to serve you". Her statement made no sense to me or I did not understand the meaning of her statement. Hence, I asked her, do I need to make a reservation in order to eat here. She said NO. Basically, I did not get any tangible reason why I could not eat at this restaurant on that day. I walked across to the pizza restaurant in the same shopping center, because I was hungry. While there for about 30mins to 1hr eating, I saw only one white couple go into the Italian restaurant and they were served because they did not come out as quickly as I was made to leave. Everyone deserves to be served at any restaurant. Thank you

Finally got to eat there last after figuring out you better have reservations or you're not likely to get in!! Let me tell you, we were not disappointed! Everything is literally made from scratch, comes to the table piping hot and was so tasty! This is definitely where we'll be going when we have a hankering for Italian food!! Prices are fair and ambiance is wonderful!!

Wife and I had our anniversary dinner here tonight. Food is amazing, homemade pastas, sauces , portions are good, server was amazing. You should make reservations as seating is very limited which brings up another thing we loved, you can actually have a conversation! It's quiet and cozy and comfy

I ate here years ago and liked it. We finally returned to P.E.I. after many years and brought friends to spend a day on the island. I called ahead of time and they told me they closed at 8 pm on Saturday so we planned all day to get there are 7:30. We drove down St. Edward Street but didn't see it so we went around the corner, parked, and called. It was 7:25 pm. A woman answered who said it was too late and they would not seat us because it was 7:30. We could have walked around the corner and been there by 7:30 but were refused. Thanks for nothing.

The server was very good, and the food was phenomenal. The house-made pasta was delicious, the sauces were great, and all of the ingredients were obviously fresh and local. Probably the best pasta I've ever had in my life.

Bueno Manga is by far the best Italian food restaurant in Charlottetown. Food is fresh and delicious. We have never been disappointed. A small cozy place with a great atmosphere and very welcoming. One of our favourite places for a special meal.
