Today we were extremely disappointed with this specific location. Because we are local, we know the difference between today’s experience and all other days. At first, we were ignored by the staff at the counter, then got micro scoops of ice cream ( compare to regular size in all other visits ), than a cone was thrown in the garbage because it was tasting disgusting and uncooked. Wasted $18.00.
Amazing ice cream!!!
Ice cream was tasty & unusual flavors were available... messie Bessie was my choice.
How they can use the tagline 'the words best icecream' is beyond me. It's a tourist trap. How they can justify the price purely on brand is alarming.
Read about lot about COWS. It was okay. A typical ice cream shop. This location was in a pharmacy dating back to the late 1800's. Original woodwork and tin roof.
Staff themselves were confused and were not able to explain products.
I had the lime and the NY cheesecake ice cream it was really good! Went back again to get the coconut ice cream as well as the PIE caramel apple. The last one was one of my top flavours ever
They marked themselves “Canada’s Best Iced Cream”.
For this sundae ($9CAD 2025) I just tried, they successfully achieve the honer of the best iced cream in Canada.
The waffle base are produced in store by themselves with strong almond taste which you could smell it when entering. 100% local milk as main ingredients to make their style’s iced cream tasted creamy smooth and fully of milk flavour but non of other milk’s over fatty taste.
They have lots of side products in the whole store which good for travelling and souvenirs bringing back for friends or families.
One of the MUST GO place in PEI.
I strongly recommend to visit no matter you like iced cream or not.
Tasted PEI apple crisp, but it was bland. Settled on maple walnut and I’m glad I did. It was so flavourful and satisfying. Waffle cone was a nice treat too.
Good with a variety of tastes

Meagan the manager is a nightmare!
We were in the cows store looking at cute clothes for my nephew and overheard an employee ask to go to the washroom and she made a very inappropriate and awkward remark mentioning it was weird how often he has to use the washroom, and he noted he had a bladder problem and she said “Okay, it just seems a bit weird”. Meagan… let the guy pee in peace and mind your own damn business. You’re unfit to be a manager and I will email corporate after my vacation in PEI.
More variety of ice cream flavours than the 2 in Cavendish, also very busy.
Disappointed that the majority of varied Cows t-shirts are only available online
It's Cows
I recently discovered cows ice cream. And I can say that best in the country. It is literally worth the money. Waffle’s made in the store. May favourite flavour moo York cheesecake and maple walnut. Now I ll be looking for their locations everywhere.
Many great flavors, a bit pricy but worth it for the experience of it all. The local blueberry/strawberry were top notch.
