Val always is so pleasant and greets you with a smile! On top of the amazing service, you will have the pleasure of trying his amazing French Caribbean food! 100% recommend eating here! You won’t be disappointed!!
Every time I visit PEI, I make it a point to stop at Datcha. It’s a must for me. With family roots in Guadeloupe, part of the French Caribbean, Datcha feels like a little piece of my heritage brought right here to the Island. It’s such a joy to find familiar Caribbean dishes made locally with care.
The food is comforting, homemade, and full of the authentic flavors of my childhood. It brings back cherished memories of meals shared with my parents. It’s a true taste of the Caribbean, right at your fingertips.
Valerie, the chef and owner of Datcha, is also incredibly warm and welcoming, which adds to the experience. I highly recommend Datcha to anyone looking for delicious, heartfelt cuisine and a genuine cultural experience.
So, so delicious!
We came back twice for the OG Bokit - beautifully seasoned Caribbean beef with a creamy cumin sauce packing just the right amount of heat (customizable) on a crispy fried dough bun. One of our favourite bites in Charlottetown!
And the friendliest owners - you can tell there is love in this food ♡
Best place I've eaten in PEI
What a treat! You can taste the passion and love for food in every bite.

Datcha is an absolute delight! If you're looking for **bold, fresh, and flavorful French Caribbean cuisine**, this spot is a must-visit. The menu is packed with standout dishes, from the perfectly seasoned **Creole Chicken Bokit** to the satisfying **Chicken Datcha Bowl**. Amazing Bokit. Bread was on point. Spice was off the charts but could still enjoy the flavour. Will be back.
Always unreal food and service at Datcha! It’s our go-to place when we need a comfort food/ light delicious meal that fills you and leaves you wanting more! We can’t recommend them enough and the consistency with each order is what keeps us coming back! ❤️ Great food and customer service go hand in hand to keep the people wanting more!
Great food and extremely kind service would definitely recommend!
First timer. Really enjoyed the food. Whatever you get, enjoy the flavors and amp it up to spicy! The sweet potato fries were very good too.
It's as good as everyone says, and a very unique cuisine in the region!

My partner and I ate here for the first time today, and I am so mad we never went sooner! He had the OG sandwich and I had the chicken sandwich. Both were so amazing, flavourful and very filling!
A super flavorful and mouthwatering bowl! We'll definitely be returning when we visit PEI again!

Visited from Moncton last weekend and had a great chat with the chef about my trip to Guadeloupe; the chicken bokit brought me back, it was delicious and he added just the perfect amount of spice for me. Merci!!
It's a yes for me. He sliced the tomato right onto the hot sandwich. Fresh and tasty.
