I just visited the store to get a lunch with my 8-month pregnant wife. The cashier at the front was very unprofessional. I believe she is Nepali. She is grumpy and even didn’t smile and didnt assist me with the payment process, and she left the cah area. I also asked to have my food noted for no jalapeños, but she didn’t pay attention, and I ended up with jalapeños in my order.

When my number was called by another worker (a lady of the same nationality) who presented my food, I realized they hadn’t given me my drink, which I had paid for. I went back to ask about it, and the lady responded, “What is your number?” in an angry tone, without even apologizing.

I understand that these workers are likely students, but being rude to customers without showing any simple gesture of friendliness is quite unusual. I have worked in the restaurant industry for almost 18 years in many countries, and I believe your team needs to learn how to handle customer experiences better.

Waited for a half hour or so to get food that was hardly edible. 3 of us ate there and we all thought it was garbage

I popped on here because this felt important to share:
I ordered the $7 chicken nuggets expecting a nice crispy nugget as shown in the display image.
Instead I got a handful of chicken lumps that TASTED LIKE PICKLES!!
I really don't like pickles so I didn't finish my meal but my partner shared her regular poutine which was decent but nothing special.
I just can't get over the nuggets tasting like pickles. That must say something about the hygiene of the place. Pickles!

Folk fries has a super fun and festive vibe going on - the decor is on point and it's clear they are going for a carnival feel. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to the hype. The chicken nuggets had an odd taste to the batter. The chicken pulled pork sandwich was basic and simple just chicken between bread. The poutine was okay and tasted alright. The crispy burger was simple and nothing special. Given the excitement I had for this spot the food was really disappointing.

Came here a few days ago and ordered a bowl while being the only person in line. I waited almost 20 minutes. The chicken was undercooked and the bowl overall was just okay.

I was looking for true PEI fries, and I found them. They were mostly good. The hotdogs were good, just a little messy and I wish they’d have asked what I wanted on it. Still, the dogs were good.

The servers were absolutely wonderful, kind, warm and chatty. They made the visit!!

On July 26th, Saturday, we visited Folk Fries at the Royalty Crossing Mall and ordered a pulled chicken burger, a killer bowl, and a chocolate milkshake. The cashier, a friendly young woman with a warm smile, took our order and quickly prepared the milkshake instantly.

The cook prepared the food right in front of me and was made in under seven minutes, which was impressive. Everything was delicious, though the pulled chicken burger bun could have been better toasted rather than steamed. This small detail would have made the meal exceptional.

I shared the feedback with the cashier lady, who appeared to be the supervisor, and she responded graciously, even offering a coupon as a kind gesture. Overall, a great experience, and we’ll definitely return.

I love the display of hotdog options! What a creative display! I went for the Dilly Dog which tasted amazing! All around great service from the two gentlemen working. I can't wait to try more from their menu!

First time trying this spot and I definitely was not disappointed!
My chilli cheese fries were layered with toppings instead of just having it all on the top and my choco milkshake was SO good.
My husband didn’t care for the hotdog though - he thinks there should be meat added onto the nacho dog, I agree! ?
