I first stopped for a beer or two on the terrasse so to let the rain pass. It then turned into a copious and tastefull supper. I had the oven baked mix of seafood with salad. What a great surprise, as everything was homemade and delicious. Thanks to Sadi for such a great service.

went out to get drinks for a friends birthday and had a girl as a server, at first she seems grumpy but figured it was just due to the time of night. we got drinks and wings and she said little to nothing to us except the bare minimum, she then came back with the wings and we had a friend talking to us at that moment, instead of saying “excuse me” she stood behind her with a grumpy look until we told the friend to move, she proceeded to put the wings on the table and leave not even asking if we needed anything else. not to mention these wings were burnt to a crisp with a spec of meat on them and terrible, she came back maybe 10 min later took the wings and left, not asking if we needed anything else or how the wings were, which is minimal service in my opinion. other than the fact it was late at night the service was nothing but terrible. although the drinks were good, the service and food made the experience not worth it. wouldn’t recommend coming to hunters at night unless your expecting a grumpy server who won’t provide any service

Slipped in to cool down after the play and Art Show. Great pub with fabulous drinks. Will be back to try their food on another trip

Had a late evening supper here. Service was great, waitress was pleasant and very helpful and kind. Setting was outside and the noise was minimal; inside was trivia night. All family members ate. I personally enjoyed my meal, chicken carbonara with the others having poutines with a bit less satisfaction. Overall, would go back here if needed but will adventure around when returning to Charlottetown.

Restaurant is dated. Food is edible and not exceptionally good. I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Waitress was swamped. Seemed like only 2 waitresses running all the tables. Rather than help out, the manager just wandered around talking to people. Took 1/2 hour just to get a drink. Disappointing as the food is good. Same thing 2 nights in a row. Would normally have several drinks with a meal but just gave up.

Good spot with pretty competitive deals. Food is nothing crazy but the beers are good. Nice terrace upstairs.

Great late night place to eat. Good deals on pitchers and wings and the chicken curry pasta is amazing, I wish more places would make a similar dish

Right next to our hotel in Prince Edward Island, we found Hunter’s Ale House, and it turned out to be a great spot! The service was excellent — very polite and professional. After 9:00 PM, they check IDs at the door, and anyone under 18 isn’t allowed, which keeps the vibe more adult and relaxed.
Even though it got pretty crowded after midnight, the food and drink service remained impressively fast and attentive. We ordered the Gang Platter and a Smash Burger, both served hot and packed with flavor. For drinks, we had an Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned, and 2 tequila shots — all had a solid pour with an acceptable amount of alcohol (not watered down!).

The music was also really good, adding to the fun atmosphere — we genuinely enjoyed it. Plus, the kitchen stays open after midnight, which is perfect for a late-night meal.

5/5 stars — great food, drinks, music, and service. Definitely worth a visit!
