Jenny & Wayne's Chinese Takeout - Catering

Portions are weak, prices are outrageous for what you get. Food is not good. I would not recommend. This place gets worse with every new owner since they originally opened in the spot they are. Again would not recommend.

My Gf and I had decided to try a different Chinese food restaurant tonight. We usually go with China Garden but figured a change would be good. What a mistake! Easily the worst chinese food I've personally ever eaten. Hard, flavorless, undercooked rice. Hard dry chicken balls. The saltiest eggroll in existence. And chicken soo gai that was so old and stale that I thought I was going to Rip a tooth or 2 out attempting to eat it. It was awful all around. My gf says the fella that took our order on the phone was friendly and polite, but that is where any positives with tonight's experience end.

The rice is inedible

The portions were tiny and the sweet and sour prawns were mostly batter and the prawns had no taste. It was the worst. The dishes were awfully overpriced.

Food was not edible. We spent $110 and the chicken balls were raw, the chicken rice had no flavor, the chicken lo mein was way too salty and we didn't even try the egg rolls...we were beyond disgusted at this point.

I went in and showed the guy that was there (the guy that also served me initially) and he seemed quite disgusted that I couldn't eat it. He refunded me the full amount without any issues. They used to be the go to place when they initially opened but I can honestly say we will never be back.

I only tried here because no other places were open for lunch. I did try China Garden numerous times before I placed an order at this place, but they weren't answering their phone despite their website saying they were open. I will stick with the one place thst is consistent and never steered me wrong...Canton Cafe all the way.

I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt because the reviews were pretty harsh… after trying it I can’t say I’m impressed. My order cost me $16. The food I received is not worth $16 when the rice is hard and unevenly cooked, the chicken is rubbery and the dough is soggy in the middle (presumably refried or air fried, because my order only took around 6minutes to complete). I feel slightly guilty about leaving a poor review on a family-owned business, but the price and quality of food do not match up at all and that makes me EXTREMELY frustrated when you (the owners) price your food at such an exorbitant rate for what I’d consider poor, almost inedible food.

Tried some takeout from here and it was not good. The rice was unedible, out dog wouldn't even eat it. Egg rolls were soggy, spring rolls the same. Butterfly shrimp was dried out and tough. The chicken balls were ok but the cherry sauce tasted off.If you looking for Chinese food, look elsewhere.

Was not offered rice with my take out curry and chicken was a bit rubbery would try there again to confirm initial thoughts

This used to be my favorite place but since they underwent new management, the food is horrible. So dry, chicken balls are undercooked (raw batter inside), they burnt the spare ribs, and the egg roll tastes like it was sitting on the counter for days. So so disappointed ?

Pretty bad in general food was clearly old and was sitting and I got the wrong order and when I told them they argued with me. The rice also tasted off and was clearly old and even the Chinese cookies were old and stale

The food is awful. Don't eat there.
