If you’re looking for a quality breakfast spot in Charlottetown, this is the spot. Super quaint and cozy space located right downtown, Leonhard’s was the perfect stop for a proper coffee and meal. I had the eggs Benny with braised beef and mushrooms, a first time for me seeing such an offering and it was delicious. Great all-day breakfast to boot! Definitely recommend.

My wife and I came for brunch early around 9:20am on a Saturday. The place was quite busy, with customers coming in consistently for both dine-in and takeout. The restaurant had a nice relaxing atmosphere, and was very quaintly decorated.
We ordered the pictures I submitted, and the total was $70 after tax and tip.
In terms of the quality of the food and drink, it averaged out to be mediocre. The potato leek soup had so much black pepper in it that it was all you could taste. I could not taste leek at all, and you wouldn’t even know it had a potato base, because it was so thin. It also had globs of sour cream in it that did not mix well into the soup.
The focaccia used for the sandwich was quite good; nice and airy and well seasoned. However, it was missing cucumbers as stated on the menu.
The French toast was made with good quality brioche, and the vanilla cream, pastry cream, strawberries, compote, and honeyed granola was a great flavor combination. A nice enough breakfast.
The flat white was very disappointing, because there was a copious amount of milk foam, which flat whites are not supposed to have. Additionally, the London fog my wife ordered was served in a glass mug with no handle for some reason, which became too hot to hold with bare hands.
The vanilla roll we had was also a bit disappointing. The Chantilly cream in the roll was excellent, but the sponge cake portion had a noticeable egg white smell when eating, which was very off-putting.
I must also bring up the service, which I almost never mention in my restaurant reviews. The service was quite poor.
When ordering, I asked our male server if the sandwich and soup combo was prepared with a large portion of soup; he told me it was prepared with a small one. I pointed out to him that it was cheaper if I ordered a full sandwich and small soup separately, than if I ordered a combo. This made me think the combo would come with a large portion of soup instead. He responded “okay…” in such an exasperated tone, and asked me to finish ordering, instead of looking into my concerns.
After finishing our meal, I went to the register to pay. The owner was there, and looked at me with a scowl on his face, and asked if I was there to get takeout. Mind you, I spent the last hour watching the owner go up to multiple tables, making small talk with customers with a smile on his face. I watched him cheerfully greet customers, take takeout orders, and take payments, all with a kind and friendly demeanor. He walked by our table at least 15 times during our time there. For him to not notice I was a dine-in customer, and to have such a disconcerting look, really did not make me feel good. He never even asked how our meal was.
There was also a female server there, she was very sweet.

Great place for a lunch. There to go sandwiches are perfect, and the hot chocolate is the best in town

We only had coffee here (as we we’re planning to have lunch in another place) but they have appetizing food menu. Service was great and very nice. The place is cozy too.

By far my favourite brunch in Charlottetown! Plenty of gluten free options and wonderful accommodation from the staff, who make the experience what it is - I couldn’t say enough about how great the Frieda hash is!

Top of the line Brunch option in C'Town. The food is fresh, flavourful and the portion sizes are perfect, thanks to Chef Kim! If you are just stopping by for a cup of Joe, their coffee is also amazing. Don't be put off by the line up if there is one; it is well worth the wait!

You can get a good breakfast sandwich here (I recommend Ham and Havarti) and large coffee for a little over 10 dollars. How many other places can you do that with?

I wish we had a Leonhard's in Halifax. The first tip off that we were in for treat was when we entered. It was busy at 1120. The food and service were great. I had a smoked meat sandwich and my wife a soup and sandwich. Delicious. The deserts were remarkable. I highly recommend Leonhard's to anyone looking for a great lunch.

Cute breakfast spot if you are in town on a cruise or just visiting. I have nothing to compare the food to as it is the only spot I ate there. There wasnt anything wrong, but my taste buds may simply be different from the local population. It was good. The portion sizes were good, the omelet was HUGE. The staff was welcoming and attentive. But the atmosphere was fantastic. I loved it.

We were referred here by a friend and it was amazing. Very busy but the menu was worth the wait. I couldn't decide between the eggs Benedict and the French toast so they put a special plate together for me that was amazing. It was all a 10/10. The French toast with cinnamon and coriander, and the steak and eggs Benedict. There is a takeout option there as well if you want to just grab a coffee and pastry. For dessert I had the 7 nut pie and that was awesome as well but overall I would easily recommend here and go back again if in Charlottetown, PEI.
