Me and my son took the lobster pasta dish but there was too much oregano and it was overpowering the dish. The peas didn't belong in there in my opinion as well, we didn't taste the lobster much, too bad..my mom took the Fish and chips and that was amazing.

Historical, this has been my favourite place for burgers on the island. On Friday I took my nieces’ family to celebrate a hockey win. We were seated quickly by the hostess- then nothing. I went to the bar where there were a number of servers hanging around and one of them said that they would get out server. Another 10 minutes passed before she approached our table, whenever we tried to get her attention it was as though she was purposely ignoring us. I emailed management about this disappointing experience- I’ve been ignored. Hence, I’m thinking service isn’t their strong point.

Stopped in for a light lunch on wings and a pint of the Lone Oak Light. The wings were very good, and the beer was very nice.

Had an incredible experience here. Booked a few days ahead of schedule for sunset dinner. DJ outside was great, staff was professional, quick to turn tables, but also gave you all the time you needed to just relax. Lit the fire for us to enjoy sunset. Patio outside may have DJ which you may not like, lots of high top chairs which aren't my fav as a 5'2, which is also why the fire pit tables are nice! Washrooms are tiny... Food...incredible! Best lobster roll I had all week! *NOTE* when booking reservation be sure to choose the right location. There are a few on the island, and someone ahead of us booked a reservation at the wrong location and arrived here with nothing on the books. It's busy, so don't expect to be entitled to a table should you mix up locations.

On PEI the restaurants have really skimped out on servings and quality as the prices have risen. Lone Oak tries to give you what you pay for! And so relaxing. Here on Milky Way and in Borden-Carlton they keep you happy! Stout is so good and the Brussels Sprouts were better than expected!!

Came in last week on a week night while in PEI for work.
Sat at the bar to eat dinner and have a drink.
Everything was good, the only knock I gave it was that the fries were not great, the chicken sandwich was really good and the beers were great.
Location was great for where I was staying, would go again next time I'm in town.

Visited on July 31th, 2024, in the evening. Located on a island in the North River, between Charlottetown and Cornwall, it can only be accessed via the Trans Canada Highway. It's at the west end of the strip mall with COWS creamery as the main building. In fact, all Lone Oak location, there is a COWS close by. It was once a pizza parlor before when the original Lone Oak Borden-Carleton location at the Gateway Village open in 2019, there is also a tap room and can shop just a few doors to the right that was a Prince Edward Island Brewing Company tap room. The establishment from the outside looks like a typical maritime fishing village building, but much more cozy atmosphere inside. The service was kind of strange, while the waitres was very efficient, the one who job is to assign a table did not seem to want to place us with the excuse we wont get service for 15 minutes, one of the waitres clarified that the kitchen staff was running late and there was no excuse not to be setted. I had a flight of four beers, they were nice with the west coast ipa being the best. I had one of their burger that was quite good. The next day I went to the tap room to get a few west coast IPA, available in single 16 oz or 6 pac of 12 oz. A good introduction to my PEI beer experience!

Been coming to this location since it opened and am really disappointed in the decline in quality of food, portion to price ratio and the service. Have had multiple instances of hostesses or servers not paying attention to us and still come back because mistakes happen. The food declining in quality will prevent me from returning. Tonight we ordered the $17 garlic fingers and it was clearly a frozen flatbread. You can’t expect people to come back serving such lazy food at those prices. We got an order of ribs as well and one rib was just a bare bone, so we paid 19 dollars for 5 very sparse ribs. Tonight our hostess said there were no tables available and sat us at the bar saying she would let us know if any tables opened up. Tables quickly opened up but no effort was made to give us a table. Overall the experience was not good for what we paid.

Way over priced. Ordered fish and chips for $25.00 and wasted it. Fish was overcooked and extremely dry. Tartar sauce tasted like sour cream and dill. Extremely disappointing and definitely goes to “Never Again” list of places to eat.
