We stopped into Salt and Sol for lunch. We wanted seafood and a water view. They have both!
You can eat inside or out on their deck, with a beautiful view of Charlottetown yacht club.
The gluten free fish and chips was absolutely the best I have ever had the pleasure of eating!
Sweet potato fries were my choice for a small extra fee. The portions were generous and the haddock was cooked perfectly. Crispy and well seasoned.
My daughter enjoyed her fish chowder, with homemade garlic bread.
Their prosecco sangria was refreshing and a nice change.
The service was great too. What a Gem!!š
Great terrace by the water! Lots of local beer and cocktail options to choose from. We had the mussels and fish & chips ā both were absolutely delicious. Perfect spot for a relaxed meal by the water.
Delicious seafood chowder and oysters. Very beautiful ambiance and view (we had a large group at the bench on the terrace, view of sailboats on the bay, lovely ocean breeze, small curtain to protect from the sun ā very cozy!)
and the thoughtful service from a young local went above and beyond. Would love to return here!
Disappointing. Small lobster roll with unusual flavor. Very small oysters. Service was lacking
The setting is extremely nice, looking out over the sailboat workshop of Prince Edward Island. Itās a shame that the restaurant doesnāt deliver as one would hope. Service was slow and haphazard, and the food was passable but nowhere near Prince Edward Islandās best. On top of that, the cocktails were hit and miss. One maple old-fashioned was quite tasty while The lavendertini was subpar.
Service and views were nice. Staff were friendly. But food was mediocre for the price. We got the mussels and chowder. Mussels were small after being steamed and the chowder was more on the thinner and watery side for consistency.
Food was fine, but found the pepper in the lobster roll took the flavor of the lobster out. View is nice
Iāve been meaning to write this review for a year and a half now. Such a great place. The lobster roll, my wife had the musselsā¦
The server Cory was a dreamy dream from our dreams. The man went above and beyond ;)

Spent a wonderful evening having dinner and watching the moon rise at Salt & Sol! The food was delectable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this charming spot for a true Islander experience.

Disappointing experience from start to finish. The on-line menu hasnāt been replaced. So there were new prices when we showed up in person.
I ordered fish and chips. The gentleman seated at the table right beside me was given two pieces of fish before I ordered. I only got one, and was told by the Server that his pieces were so small they gave him two. He shook his head in disagreement and held up two fingers.
There was no tartar sauce available. Instead, they gave us a curry dip, which was so wrong for fish and chips. There was also no salt on the table. I asked the Served for salt twice, to no avail. Finally, another guest who overheard my request brought their salt shaker over when she was finished. The Server claimed to have not heard me ask. Evidently, the other guest clearly did.
When the fish and chips finally arrived, the serving of fish was small and dried out. Not flakey or moist at all. The French fires were cold. The coleslaw was tasteless.
There are alot of outstanding restaurant options to choose from in Charlottetown.
But this isnāt one of them.
Try The Pilot, Merchantman, Claddagh, or any of the other restaurants downtown where you get great food, great service, and reliable pricing.
Good restaurant at the harbour. Friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices, nice view, pet friendly.
