I can’t comment on the other dishes, but you must try their Crème Brûlée—it’s absolutely delicious! I often come here just for this dessert and skip everything else. It’s only $12 but comes in a generous portion. perfectly caramelized on top, sweet but not overwhelming.
The Sticky Date Pudding is a bit on the sweeter side. if you’ve never tried it before, I’d recommend ordering one to share—it’s rich but worth experiencing at least once.
The Espresso Dark Chocolate & Salted Caramel Torte is quite sweet and a little sticky on the teeth, but the salted cream on top is fantastic! When you eat them together, the flavors balance out nicely, though I wish there were more cream.
As for the Crème Brûlée, I’ll keep coming back for it again and again! If you’re ever feeling down, come for one—it’s a happy dessert served in a cozy, atmospheric space with great service.

I have been here a number of times, but after my last visit won't be back or offer any good recommendations. Service was lacking and steaks were tough and cooked incorrectly. I politely messaged the restaurant twice to let them know privately of my poor experience and recieved no reply.... thus the negative public rating.

My husband and I rented out the private room for our wedding dinner last month. I spoke with Sara and Kelly regarding the reservations, and they were both exceptional! They answered all our questions and checked in with us leading up to the wedding to ensure everything met our standards.
We dropped off a few decorations for the dinner, and the staff set them up with no guidance. It was more beautiful than I could have imagined. They also packed up the decorations and had them ready for us to pick up the next day.
The food and service were also beyond amazing. Most of the guests were from out of province, or had never eaten at Sim's before, and they were all left speechless. The compliments about the food were endless.
The private dining room was the perfect touch—it was so quaint and beautiful. The room temperature and the volume of the music could also be controlled according to our preferences.
Everything about the dinner and service was more than we could have asked for, and we were so glad we chose Sim's. All of the guests will definitely be returning.
To the brides and grooms who want a small, intimate wedding dinner - you won't regret it!

On 10/14/2025, our cruise docked at Charlotte. With no plan other than strolling around downtown. We gonna came across several restaurant advertising oysters on the half shell. We chose one and I asked to see the oysters being advertised for $24C per dozen. They were so small there wouldn't have been enough to fill a teaspoon. The next place we checked was Sim's steak and oyster restaurant. Beautiful oysters and the perfect size to enjoy on the halfshell. The presentation was beautiful and oysters fresh and delicious. A local draft beer made the meal complete. We may never make it back to Charlotte, but we'll long remember our oysters at Sim's. If you're in Charlotte don't miss having oysters at Sim's.

One of the best steak dinners and the drinks were satisfying. Our waitress, Megan was awesome. If you want a satisfying dinner and a relaxing dining experience this is the place to be.

The food was excellent and the service was warm and attentive. We loved the dog-friendly patio, and the cozy private room in the basement offers a quieter option for a more intimate meal. A welcoming spot with great food and thoughtful touches.

Had an excellent experience at Sims Corner. The 14oz ribeye was the highlight—incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartender, which made for a great atmosphere. The Old Fashioned was good, but there's a little room for improvement. Overall, a solid 4.5 stars. Highly recommend!

If you want to try 100% P.E.I. 45-day aged beef, you should come to this place. The filet mignon was cooked to order, juicy and tender (the cheese crust on top was unnecessary extra). The roughly chopped steak tartar with subtle addition of herbs, onion and garlic was very tasty too. Service was attentive.

I visited this restaurant in 2022 and had an absolutely wonderful meal. This is my second visit and sadly I only had a little bit of time, I can only assume the food is still great, but I only had time for a glass of wine and a dozen oysters - which were very nice and freshly shucked in front of me.
Service was professional, efficient and personal. I am just sorry I wasn’t in town long enough to have dinner again.
The interior is warm and cozy and well thought out.
If you are looking for a lovely dinner, I have to say don’t miss this place. I will be back.
