Ta Ke Sushi Reviews
We had the Korean menu, spicy chicken & beef bulgogi, and it was amazing! Very nice spice profile, just enough heat it's hard for us to get spicy food in Maine!). I asked the server if Korean was their specialty and she said yes, the owner was Korean and while Sushi is still very popular, he cooked authentic Korean as well. Highly recommend, excellent food at a very reasonable price!
The first time has been there and got a bad experience because it was a bad taste of all the food. I ordered 42 party trays it's included sushi and sashimi, the rice was not Japanese rice also it was raw, not sticky and soft. And the sashimi was not fresh and not yet defrosted. So weird of the taste. The soup of chicken ramen was like instant noodle soup, I guessed they use the pack of that msg instead of the pork bones soup. Ta Ke Sushi offers delicious and fresh sushi, including vegetarian options such as the Hawaiian roll and vegetable tempura. The restaurant has a cozy Japanese vibe with a friendly and attentive staff. The menu provides multiple vegetarian choices and features a variety of dishes. Guests can enjoy a complimentary miso soup and a selection of sake drinks. The restaurant may require a wait during busy hours, but the excellent food and service make it worthwhile. Parking is available in the front.
Customers have praised the restaurant, describing the sushi as "so good" and "the best on the island." The presentation is also noted as "like art." Vegetarians have found plenty of options, and the staff has been accommodating of dietary restrictions. The sushi is often described as fresh, with some reviews highlighting that the sushi don is filling and the rolls focus more on toppings and fillings rather than excess rice. The tempura is light and well-cooked, and the soft shell crab is crispy and tasty without being greasy. Portions are generous for the price, and the overall quality of the food is solid. Service is polite, efficient, and friendly, creating a simple and casual atmosphere that is comfortable for diners.
However, some customers have experienced long wait times for their food, especially during busy hours. The restaurant seems to prioritize takeout orders over dine-in customers, leading to delays. Despite the quality of the food, the wait times have been a source of frustration for some diners. Overall, Ta Ke Sushi remains a popular spot known for its fresh sushi, generous portions, and friendly service.
