I stumbled on the place by fluke as I explored the area - and it is a true find. I had the Pho and the spring rolls and both were amazingly good. Seriously come and try this place! And the owner is so friendly . I wish I lived here as this would be my go-to places ...

While substitutions for vegetarians are most often willingly accepted in most Smitty’s restaurants at no extra cost, that was not the case today at this Smitty’s restaurant. The only Eggs Benedict offerings included ham or bacon. We asked to substitute the meat with a slice of tomatoes. We were told that it would be an additional charge of 50 cents each. We were not impressed.

I feel like I’ve just discovered a hidden gem! The staff saw me coming and helped me carry my stroller up the stairs. The place was very clean & tidy, and reasonably priced. My food was fast, fresh and yummy! I will totally come back! The spring rolls were loaded with fresh veg, and the spicy peanut butter sauce hit the spot. These would be perfect finger foods for an event. The curry was tasty and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Years since I have been to a Smitty's so wanted to try it out. Breakfast special still the same good value as yesterday...and the crowd at the restaurant seemed to agree. Quick service, decent diner style food and reasonable prices. I hope Smittys doesn't get priced out of their locations as, for example, has happened in Vancouver and Victoria. Had the pancakes with the special...tasty and oh so filling.

This place is great! the staff is also really friendly. I enjoyed every single bite of the meal. The service I received was so amazing. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Charlottetown.

Just tried The Homes Vegan Restaurant for the first time on their opening day! The food is amazing and the cakes are beautiful. Everything is vegan and gluten free, and they bake amazing bread in-house. The staff and owners are very kind and friendly! I’d 100% recommend stopping by. They are open 11-6:00 and do delivery too. It’s great to see a new restaurant providing vegan and vegetarian options on island and I hope we can support them as best as possible!

I had just been to a Smitty's in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and had what was probably the best breakfast I ever had in my life. The eggs and fish cakes were cooked to perfection. The 'over easy' eggs were actually 'over easy.' (Harder to find than you might think) The service there ( Spring Garden Rd) was second to none. I was hoping when visiting the Smitty's site in Charlottetown to have a similar experience but the quality & service just wasn't there. The reception staff were not welcoming. They appeared tired & unhappy - confused even about their role. The floor was wet when I arrived. It smelled of bleach or some other kind of strong cleaner. I was told to watch my step. The message I got was not that they were there to create an experience for me but that I was there to work around their housekeeping tasks & their limitations. ( they're still working from a limited menu) As unfortunate as my impression of their reception dept was my impression of their kitchen was even worse. The eggs were overcooked, the food was bland and the tomato slice (advertised on the menu as 'fried') was nothing more than a sad looking slice of cold tomato. I had to salt the eggs to taste them. The server was pleasant enough & the service was good. It certainly wasn't her fault the food was less than impressive so of course I tipped her. When I asked the person at reception, tho,who gets the tip I was told the server has to 'pay out' to both the kitchen & reception. It's my thought that if a business has to take from a server's meager tips to compensate it's kitchen & it's reception staff it shouldn't be in business. If I had to do it again I would go to the server & give her a cash tip in private. She deserved it & she deserved to keep it. I would say to others visiting Charlottetown that there are other great restaurants serving quality breakfasts for the same price as Smitty's in downtown Charlottetown. (Check out Victoria Row). I would not recommend the Smitty's here. The quality of the food is meh and there is no real customer service

Staff are courteous and always close by for coffee refills. Great breakfast. Didn't like the pan fried potatoes but the deep fried were sublime. Portion sizes are good. Get a frequent shopper card from the cashier. 8th breakfast is free to a certain amount. Best go before 11AM as breakfast specials are much cheaper.

This restaurant is owned by family who did not like colored people . We have ordered family meal . The two white family asked after us and served before us . They did not welcome us as everyone one else. We did not have the same treatment in maid Marian diner. I just don’t understand why treatment is different. I just hate racism.
