The Old Triangle Reviews
Horrible customer service experience. The manager was very rude. We did show up with rather large group, however, the restaurant was only half full and we were willing to break into smaller groups. They were unwilling to accommodate or even to have a conversation about it. I’ve worked in the industry and have never experienced someone with such a lack of customer service skills in a position such as that. Although we love The Old Triangle in Halifax, they have lost our business.

The Old Triangle is a charming Irish pub that offers delicious food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Known for its perfect pour of Guinness, the restaurant provides a variety of menu options, including seafood boils and BBQ chicken burgers. The staff is friendly and attentive, making visitors feel welcome and comfortable. The pub features traditional fiddling that adds to the lively ambiance, making it a great spot for families and anyone seeking a unique dining experience. Guests often enjoy the large portions and good beer, with live music on Friday and Saturday nights, including ceilidh style tunes. The booths are particularly cute and add to the inviting feel of the place. Recently, visitors praised the food as being fantastic and unique, with some noting that the drinks come in good quantities and the cocktails are especially good. The interior ambiance was described as lovely, and the menu options impressive, offering something for everyone. Live music sessions, including Irish musicians jamming on Sunday afternoons, add to the lively atmosphere, although some guests felt the music volume could be a bit lower to better enjoy conversations. The pub is accessible with a ramp and can accommodate those in wheelchairs on the first floor, though the bathrooms might be harder to access. While the food remains solid Irish fare, some diners wish for the return of the mustard pickle side and improvements to the fish cakes. Overall, The Old Triangle is considered a local treasure in downtown Charlottetown, delivering a cozy, friendly, and lively Irish pub experience.
