Top of the Park Restaurant

Sub-par service from the beginning of our visit to the end. We ate at the "Top of the Park." We were seated and no one visited our table to offer us beverages until we were halfway through our meal. The food was just okay, nothing to write home about. We had a gift card to put toward our meal which the establishment would not honour. This is especially upsetting because it was given to us by our parents who are on a fixed income. It was on a weekend so there was "no management there to address the issue," we were told. We called the next business day and we were told they would get back to us. That was a month ago. They finally got back to us with more than a little prompting. They will not honour the gift card and we will never go back.

They have a very good Sunday buffet brunch, the only such buffet in Charlottetown. The cost is only $17 a head and all you can eat.

The quality of the food was very very poor wasn't hot,I went there years ago was better than today for chefs it should have taste but certainly not the case ,cooks should sample food before its presented my first and last visit for the price bag of chips would have tasted

THE FOOD IS ALWAYS FANTASTIC !!! THE ATMOSPHERE, AND THE SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE, AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT... TODAY MY FRIEND AND I, HAD A WONDERFUL LUNCH AT THE TOP OF THE PARK, OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT ON P.E.I., HANDS DOWN. THE SALAD, THE MEAL AND THE DESERTS, WERE TO DIE FOR. WE PAID OUR BILL, WENT TO THE WASHROOM, AND OUT TO THE CAR. WHEN WE REACHED THE CAR, I SAID, WHERE IS MY PURSE? BACK TO THE RESTAURANT, NOT THERE... BACK TO THE BATHROOM, NOT THERE... SEARCHED THE PARKING LOT... NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. WENT TO SECURITY, AND REPORTED SAME TO SCOTT TAYLOR. I HAD ALL MY VALUABLE CARDS, AND OVER $300.00 IN CASH, IN MY PURSE. BY THE GRACE OF GOD, THE MAINTENANCE MAN FOUND IT IN THE PARKING LOT. THE STRAP HAD BROKEN OFF, AND IT FELL. I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE... THANK YOU TO THE STAFF WHO HELPED ME SEARCH, THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND SUPPORT, AND THANK YOU TO THE HONEST MAINTENANCE MAN WHO RETURNED MY PURSE !!! MERRY CHRISTMAS.

What I went for was Sunday brunch with my lady. The food was good and there was lots of it. Getting a drink takes a while. But it's an all you can eat buffet, it's busy so if you can't get it yourself you're going to wait.

Vegetarian options: Items were labeled if they were vegetarian, or gluten-free, etc..

Parking: Huge parking lot, it's the fair grounds for old home week, so parking that week will be difficult.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free, vegetarian, lactose free labels for food it applies to.

I love this Restaurant, the atmosphere is fantastic, the food is always great, lots to choose from and prepared so well, presented so beautifully. Everything tastes divine. Starting from the chowder, biscuits and home made rolls, to the salad bar, my all time favourite to the main dishes, lots to choose from and always tastes so goooood and if that’s not enough, wait till you see the desert section, so much to choose from although the white chocolate and raspberry bread pudding is my all time favourite!The staff are the Best, cheerful, smiling ready to help you with everything. They keep the drinks coming and the tea and coffee too , they really make your visit an enjoyable one, take it from me, I keep going back every chance I get! Oh yes, if you like the horse races, this is the spot for you, sit back relax, watch the races in comfort and they’ll place your bets and cash you out too!

We had a reservation for 12 and arrived at 11:50. We were seated offered drinks , my Tea was served without a teabag. We looked at the menu and decided what we wanted and waited and waited. Finally I got up from my table at 1:20 and spoke to the first staff member I seen and asked if someone could please come and take our order. A girl came , apologized for us not being served and came back a few minutes later with our meal . Our food was warm not Hot . We were very disappointed.
