Sou'West was not only the highlight of our PEI trip, but was ALL of our favorite dinner in our Atlantic trip.
We started with oysters. Homemade accompanying sauce was a perfect match. They were so fresh. A special treat for a prairie girl. :)
The bacon Mac and Cheese was absolutely magical. Definately can taste the homemade cheese sauce with tons of bacon. My son almost licked the plate clean.
The seafood bubby was just the right size of savory pieces of seafood in a buttery white sauce. The bread was a delicious add on and again, the ceasar salad was full of bacon. Im pretty sure the ceasar salad dressing was homemade too.
My husband always loves ribs and to have an option of a lobster tail with it, put him in heaven. The ribs were delicious.
The LOBSTER. The highlight of the meal. Perfectly cooked. I dreamed about it all night.
Thank you for a wonderful meal. Service was great and we look forward to coming back one day.

We ere sitting around one Sunday afternoon in Halifax and asked where my son in law would like to have his birthday at? He thought for a bit and said, remember that spot we ate at in PEI, Sou' West, I said yeah, he said there..... I though for a moment how and when could I make this happen, and I looked around the table and all 4 of the men, where all there, all at the same time, and that's rare for our family. I though for another moment and then said, Well lets go! They all laughed, and say yeah right, and I said, Yes, we are going! Moments later the men loaded up in the Grand Caravan and we took off for the 3.5hr drive for supper on PEI at The Sou'West, for my son in laws Birthday Dinner. we called on the way over just in case and lucky we did as we booked the last table top for 4. we arrived a couple hrs later and were seated. During Supper service, we were served by Stephanie and Ruth and they found out what we had done. The food was served hot and tasty and only moans of enjoyment were heard as we enjoyed a great meal. After the great service and fine dining we enjoyed a surprise Birthday Cake Delivery to our table by the girls serving us! It was a pleasant surprise and finale to a wonderful night out! We so appreciate the very unexpected warmth and kindness we received on our men's spontaneous road trip to PEI for supper at the Sou'West. We do very much recommend you try this place out, you will not be disappointed! 5***** Call ahead, the word is getting out!

Ordered fish and chips with a side of chowder and it was the best I had on the island. I was in Charlottetown and I ate at the seafood restaurant that everyone keeps raving about there and turned out to be garbage.

Sou'West in PEI has the perfect summertime vibe. It was a hot and sunny day, and the place was busy with a great atmosphere, thanks to the open indoor seating that leads right out to a patio on the water.
Everything we had was really good. The fish tacos were great, and the beer and service were excellent. My partner really enjoyed their chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. I had the chowder, and while it was tasty, I'd personally prefer a little more liquid in the broth. The best part, though, was seeing how happy the people working there seemed, which just added to our own vacation mood.
All in all, we had a fantastic time and would love to go back.

Today we stopped in with friends expecting to enjoy a fresh seafood meal. Server was friendly and efficient. Our clam chowder came with high expectations unfortunately we received an uninviting bowl of thick, lumpy glop with potatoes and a few pieces of something unrecognizable. The bubbly lobster dish was so small, not bubbly and not worth the price. The potatoes were old and reheated. The bread just added more starch to an already starchy, flavourless dish. There was little atmosphere and very noisy considering there were only a few people dining inside. Don’t have high expectations if you intend to eat there.

Oysters were full of shell pieces. Fish and chips tasted like they haven’t changed the oil all summer. Mentioned the oysters to the waiter. Nothing was compensated.
