Our first time at this lobster dinner and we were not disappointed. We've done other lobster dinners on the island but the freshness of the food here really stands out. The mussels were hot and delicious. I had seconds. My hubby loved the strawberry shortcake made with teabiscuits.

very dissapointed with the food lacking what was ordered for example one member of our party ordered the steak with mushrooms and onions but recieved only a dried up burnt small piece of meat, I ordered a 2 lb. lobster and got the smallest lobster you serve, after working for atleast 15 years lobster fishing i can resonably tell a 2lb. from a 1 1/2 lb. and to make matters worse one claw was void of meat, i guess it fell on the kitchen floor. The chowder was watered down to the point of being bland and the endless supply of mussels was only one bucket being served for the entire party although repeat requests were made for more. YOUR KITCHEN STAFF FAILED MISSERABLY ! We wont be back ever

Wow, what a great meal!
Start with a warm, heavenly roll.
Add a bucket of mussels.
Have a small bowl of chowder.
Pop in a tossed salad with a scoop of coleslaw and potato salad.
Have a lobster with opened tail, and cracked claws for your eating pleasure.
Top it off with strawberry shortcake.
Oh, so good.

Our server was great! Friendly , knowledgeable and fun ! I’m not a fish or lobster person, but the table enjoyed the mussels and the great buns , my wife said the best salmon she’s had and she was impressed with the gluten free options ( these can be slim on the east coast compared to western Canada ) , I was a little disappointed with the ham , for the price you pay the portion of meat should be larger

For me 4* is a high rating. This is a real Maritime experience. Huge place, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices for a set menu. More than anyone can eat. Many options beyond lobsters too. Our group of 7 had a lot of fun. Can be very busy with a wait at peak times. Well worth doing.

It was our first time here, and wow the food is phenomenal. Our server Lisa was very attentive and informative about navigating the dinners. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the chowder is very flavourful. The coconut cream pie was delicious and creamy. I am definitely going to come back here on my next trip, I am already looking forward to it. It was an experience in its self.

New Glasgow Lobster Suppers offers a classic PEI dining experience in a warm and well-run environment. The first thing I noticed was how organized everything was—the staff have a clear system in place that keeps the flow of guests smooth and efficient, even when it’s busy. The atmosphere feels lively but comfortable, making it a great place to bring family or friends. As for the food, the lobster was fine, though not the highlight of the evening. The mussels were a bit underwhelming in flavour, and the scallops were decent but not outstanding. That said, the service really stood out—attentive, friendly, and quick, which helped make the evening enjoyable overall. While the seafood itself was mixed in quality, the overall experience was positive because of the welcoming setting and excellent staff. It’s worth visiting for the tradition and service, even if the food doesn’t completely shine.
