Based on my experience, the food was delicious.
The wait staff were kind and professional & service was overall quick.
Great location re. Proximity to the beach and other key Cavendish locations.
Food was ok. Tables were sticky. Doubt we will return.
The food was incredible. Very well seasoned food, mussels and wings are really good too. Desert was also great. Apart from food, the service was really good. The people were very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this place for anyone and for everyone!!!
The food was good but it took a long while to get our food . Service by the staff was good .
Dog friendly patio, very welcoming! Food and service was perfect.
By far, the best seafood chowder we have had so far, in PEI! Absolutely delicious. The ambiance is super, nicely decorated and staff is a delight. We had the lovely owner come to our table to ask us how we were doing, which we appreciated. And our waitress, Margaret, was incredible. We asked lots of questions and she was patient and informative, accommodating and friendly. Just a perfect visit!! Thank you :).
We came here for dinner and got to see the sunset in the distance. I had the fish tacos and highly recommend! My kids ate all their food too (always a good sign!) be sure to check out this hidden gem.
In 2023 we visited, with our 2 month old daughter and it was the highlight of our trip. Fast forward 2 years we were craving mussels and decided that we were traveling from NB to PEI with one of our main reasons being to visit this place again. If that doesn't tell you what you need to know about this resturant I am not sure what will. We have never been to a place with consistently a great expirence and food even two years later. When I tell you we went in expecting the same great expirence as before and were blown away as they somehow improved upon our previous expirence with the quality of our meals and the creativity of their menu. Our toddlers first time trying mussels tonight and I am not sure we set a realistic expectation. They were out of this world. We had the dill pickle flat bread, cajun pasta and fish and chips. I have NEVER had better fish and chips in my life. Hands down. We haven't shut up about this place since we last visited 2 years ago and we won't stop now. This place is a must stop location on your next PEI adventure. see photos of 2023 trip and current trip
We ate at this restaurant tonight , we are from Debert NS, absolutely amazing food and our waitress was the best I have ever had. So glad I went with her recommendation when I was trying to choose between 2 items on the menu. Absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone
The Lost Anchor was a lovely treat ! Great food. Very friendly , efficient service! Nice atmosphere….. and staff were knowledgable about local folklore …. a nice little bonus !

Ate inside due to fear of food getting too cold. Since food arrived cold, wasn’t necessary to worry about that possibility. Music so loud, conversation was impossible. Took over an hour and a half to get food. Antipasto plate was nothing to write home about since most of it appeared to come from jars. Vegetarian burger received was not as described with substitutions being made without being pre-informed. Yellow fin tuna was good but everything else on the plate was cold and tasteless. Greasy asparagus, cold greasy roasted potatoes and something called candy beet salad which had no taste at all. Waitress was great and she kept coming back to inform us as to what stage the order was at. But good service doesn’t correct for bad food.
I wish we had gone to one of the many other restaurants available in Cavendish.

The Lost Anchor Restaurant in PEI is a fantastic spot for fresh seafood lovers. I ordered the lobster feast and lobster rolls, and both were outstanding.
The portions were generous, and the lobster was cooked perfectly, with that signature fresh-from-the-ocean taste.
The only downside is that the prices are a bit higher than expected, but considering the quality and portion sizes, it’s understandable.
The atmosphere is also a highlight. The decor feels authentically maritime, adding to the overall experience.
The restaurant has a huge seating area, both indoors and outdoors, and even features an upstairs deck, which is a great option if you're looking to dine with a view. It's perfect for both large groups and more intimate dining.
Overall, if you're around Cavendish beach and craving fresh seafood, Lost Anchor is definitely worth a visit.

Overpriced menu. Prices like in good restaurants but quality doesn't.

The lobster was amazing as was the Caesar salad, artichoke dip, and chicken sandwich! The fries were pretty good, and they gave a decent amount, the coleslaw unfortunately was not great. The food is a bit on the pricier side. The staff was really nice, we were served by three people since no one else was there when we ate. They leave water for you so you can continue to fill your glass which I appreciate. They also came several times to check on us. Overall an amazing experience at the Lost Anchor I would highly recommend it if you want a relaxing meal with high quality seafood!

I can never eat the chowder because I'm sensitive to bi valves. They made mine without! It was amazing. Every one was super nice and friendly! Make it a point to stop here!
