“It took a while, but we finally found somewhere open AND with a vegan choice. The vegan caponata was very good, accompanied by a generous bruschetta. Coffee came with oat milk. English speaking service was very helpful and pleasant. (We did not enquire if the Parmesan was veggie for the veggie members of the family though, and chose to avoid it instead.) “Pizzeria Naye is very good! The pizzas are crispy, well topped and delicious. The dough is perfect and the ingredients are very fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is friendly. An absolute insider tip for delicious pizza. Definitely try it!“

“A welcome change from the other "glam/trendy" cafés and restaurants along the same seafront. This seems to be where the locals and sailors gather. Good honest food without the frills, cold beer, friendly service. A refreshing and down to earth change. Will be back !“

“We were referred to this restaurant by a local. It's a nice restaurant with a fantastic view over Calheta Beach and the sea. The portions are more than generous and are still digestible even after several visits. Very well priced: Paid today for the Picado de Frango, small version, €10.90 and the Prego Especial €7. Friendly service, clean toilet facilities, everything was great. We would be happy to go there again.“

“When you go to a beach front restaurant it is reasonable to be cautious about the quality and taste and service. Here the food was very reasonably priced. Pizza is freshly made to order and even a good old British fish n chips with banana is at a reasonable price. Situated next to the (imported) sandy beach it is ideal to keep you hydrated, fed and in budget. Staff are friendly. Rebecca our waitress was lovely.“

“Truly awesome place, madeiran snack bar with a modern twist :) From exterior seating to plating everything was very well thought out. The food was awesome too, very nice potato chips and tasty burger with fresh juice :) And all for very fair prices!!“
