“Very delicious and honest food, almost everyone orders one of the three daily specials and hardly anyone looks at the regular menu. The food is just fantastic, fresh and tasty - and it‘s offered for a very reasonable price. We went there several times during our vacation. Food can be eaten there or also taken home. They are also very friendly with kids and speak very good English - so no worries to any tourists going there despite it looks like a very local place.“

“Had a nice meal here. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was good. We had poke bowls, franceshina, hot dogs and they graciously accommodated my daughters request for plain spaghetti with butter :) the smell of cigarette smoke was the only reason for the 4 star on atmosphere but we’re just not used to that where we come from.

Vegetarian options: The poke bowl was fresh and tasty.“

“It was great being back at this beautiful restaurant again. We were warmly welcomed by Eduardo and his team. It was a lovely evening so we were able to sit on the terrace with a fantastic view of the sea. The ice cold beer was a welcomed relief from the heat and the food and service was up to its usual high standard. They serve the best Pulpo à Lagareiro which is my dish of choice. Can’t wait to be back next year and bring other members of our family who have not yet had the pleasure of dining hear.“

“Had dinner here last night as it’s a 5 minute walk from where we’re staying. Fabulous. Off the beaten track and very small but food was excellent. We had lobster tails and lamb cutlets with homemade mint sauce. Delicious and reasonably priced. Not many vegetarian options but we’re not vegetarian so not an issue.“

“The place is good, but they abuse cilantro in Portugal. It is a particular flavor that we don't like. We ordered rice with monkfish for €45 for 2 people. It was an exaggerated amount, 4 people eat with that casserole, it had a lot of monkfish. It was good, but we think the cilantro flavor spoiled the dish a little for our taste. If you like cilantro, then you will surely love it because the quantity is incredible! It was impossible to finish it! The service very good. Small restaurant hidden in the streets of Pera, completely distant from the classic tourist restaurants of Armacao.
A good choice of dishes, absolutely of quality and with fair prices. The kindness and niceness of all the staff was fantastic, both in welcoming us and in helping us with explanations of the various dishes in both Italian and English.
The homemade desserts are also fabulous.
Spotlessly clean and welcoming.
Absolutely recommended, especially for those looking for something authentic away from the confusion.

We ordered Prato del dia. The soup was amazing… everyone was a bit uncertain about having soup on a hot July day but it was the best soup I’ve ever had.
The 3 different dishes we ordered were delicious, all served with rice fries and salad.
The desserts (we tried 3 different types) were all to die for!! Our waiter was very helpful and pleasant!
Overall the best local food I’ve had in Portugal …. I highly recommend it!“

“This is the best per peri chicken on earth. I’ve been coming here for 7 years and it’s amazing. There are only a few dishes on the menu but basically it’s grilled chicken, fries and salad. The incredible. You won’t want to eat this dish again in your own country after tasting this. It gets busy at lunchtime but you can’t book so do consider you may need to queue but they’re fast so you generally won’t wait longer than half an hour for a table depending on your group size. Use your fingers to eat. It’s the best way.

Will go back a million %. It’s the best. Possibly one of my favourite ever restaurants due fo the value.

“Perfect spot for dinner with excellent service (English speaking) and great food. Most tourist places are too noisy for decent conversations. Pepper steak was about a 10-oz portion and so tender. The best steak ever. Ordered it medium rare. Could barely finish it. The chicken filet with mushroom sauce was delectable, also too much and took half as take-away. The sea bass is fresh and tasty, and guest was so stuffed eating it all. The fish filet special is breaded, not grilled. Be sure to ask server which you prefer. My favorite is the sardine pate and amazing olives. Their bread uses a rye starter for incredible texture. 5 thumbs up!

Parking: The street narrows so best to park up the hill for free parking by the municipal building. 10-minute leisurely pace up the hill.“
