“It was great being back at this beautiful restaurant again. We were warmly welcomed by Eduardo and his team. It was a lovely evening so we were able to sit on the terrace with a fantastic view of the sea. The ice cold beer was a welcomed relief from the heat and the food and service was up to its usual high standard. They serve the best Pulpo à Lagareiro which is my dish of choice. Can’t wait to be back next year and bring other members of our family who have not yet had the pleasure of dining hear.“

The location was great at the tiled tables right on the road to the promenade and there was local wine. The fish is absolutely delicious, we tried three different dishes. The ATM in the restaurant with me has always worked, in the store as far as I know it's not the dealer's fault.

“We really liked this restaurant. While we didn't get into the surrounding restaurants during the most crowded dinner period, we were lucky here and got a table upstairs with an ocean view. The waiters were nice and friendly, the food was very tasty and the sangria was great.“

“This place was great. The location was outstanding, and we were only a 10-minute walk from where we were staying. I found it a bit overpriced compared to the restaurants we went to in the city, which I would consider more upmarket. “Our steaks and my chicken were good value and very nice, however what let things down was we were given some bread and spreads at the start that we didn't ask for and presumed they were free, when I got the bill I was charged €6 for the bread wich spoiled the value of the meal, also 2 beer's cost €10 !So overall the experience was tarnished because of the extra costs“

“Family atmosphere, excellent service and typical food of the area. One of the best "Francesinhas" I have ever tried and all the dishes were super delicious. “Perfect place for lunch!
We ordered Prato del dia. The soup was amazing… everyone was a bit uncertain about having soup on a hot July day but it was the best soup I’ve ever had.
The 3 different dishes we ordered were delicious, all served with rice fries and salad.
The desserts (we tried 3 different types) were all to die for!! Our waiter was very helpful and pleasant!
Overall the best local food I’ve had in Portugal …. I highly recommend it!“

“Very happy with our visit to this restaurant, which offers a very varied choice. Our starters and mains were excellent, with generous portions. The service from Eduardo is first class.He is a really nice man.
The food.... simply fantastic, Eduardos wife does the cooking and it is first class. The meat was very tender. The home made dessert was out of this world.

“Coming down from Praceres, we find this churrasqueira restaurant. Typical Portuguese restaurant where we ate very well and at a more than acceptable price. Additionally, after telling the waiter my preference for superbock long beer glasses, he gave me a box of 6 glasses. Quite a detail!!! “We were advised to come here for authentic Portuguese food! This is about 20 minutes drive from Albuferia but really really worth it.

There is no menu for this restaurant. They ask what level of spice you’d like your chicken and if you’d like chips and salad and then they begin to make the order.

Food is quick to the table, fresh and so delicious! The staff are friendly and this place was packed!

We had the chicken chips and salad with bread and olives and some ice cream for dessert and the total came to €30.30. I ate so quickly I forgot to take pictures but if you are willing to head out to this place you will not be disappointed.

Kitchen is absolutely spotless.

Parking: In front of the restaurant on the other side of the road there is a large parking lot which is free.“

“Perfect spot for dinner with excellent service (English speaking) and great food. Most tourist places are too noisy for decent conversations. Pepper steak was about a 10-oz portion and so tender. The best steak ever. Ordered it medium rare. Could barely finish it. The chicken filet with mushroom sauce was delectable, also too much and took half as take-away. The sea bass is fresh and tasty, and guest was so stuffed eating it all. The fish filet special is breaded, not grilled. Be sure to ask server which you prefer. My favorite is the sardine pate and amazing olives. Their bread uses a rye starter for incredible texture. 5 thumbs up!

Parking: The street narrows so best to park up the hill for free parking by the municipal building. 10-minute leisurely pace up the hill.“

The mecca of chicken "suckling pig" is in Guia and its surroundings! Don't fall for imitations!
