This was the Alvor lunch experience for us. Here you will find another sandwich for €2. The owner is as crooked as the Tower of Pisa but provides top service, completely no nonsense. An experience. I recommend it to everyone.

Small Mom and Pop restaurant in business for 32 years. They know what they’re doing, and they have got it down perfectly! Food is delicious — really the best! The owners are super friendly and know everything about the area — be sure to ask for recommendations, they know all the best places to visit.

Food was ok, but a long wait and the place was empty apart from the old lady's friend who just kept talking to her so service was not good. When it came to the bill it was on a piece of paper and was 2e wrong. After constantly telling her it was wrong and her adding up being wrong her son came and put her right. No apology, so no tip, it was a bad experience. Use a cash register to get it right with an official correct bill then it cannot go in your pocket then!. Do not bother there are alot of better places to eat be warned, she should retire.

Good food Breakfast & snacks Friendly Recommend the breakfast & the Piri piri chicken What ever you choose is very good Always first port of call when ever in Alvor 3/4 times a year Clive

A total wrong decision! €14.70 for a cheese toast, a very bad cheeseburger (McDonald’s is gourmet in comparison) and two fresh orange juices. Don't go!

If you want an amazing English breakfast cooked to perfection and served with love and care visit Caroline and her family at Barco d’ Alvor. Excellent value for money and a personalised service which makes you feel so welcome. We cannot wait to come back and see you all, thank you for taking care of us so well!

Don’t understand all the really positive reviews… staff lovely but food very average and overpriced for what it is.

Have been visiting this cafe for a number of years as the owners have always been so warm and welcoming. Good honest food and good honest prices. Try it and you will go back. Ann and Steve Skilling

The worst of all is the owner of this establishment (an older woman with glasses and dark, gray hair). Zero education, zero friendliness, zero professionalism. NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!

Hello campers....i will get straight to the point. If you are looking for an english breakfast that looks like it does in the picture this is the place to go for quality and price. For 10 euros you get 2 slices of toast, 2 eggs ,2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon , grilled tomatoe and dollop of beans with small glass of fresh orange and a large coffee...tea is also availble . I go there every morning when on my yearly stay in Alvor . And the service is great. (and a memo to the lady who served me every morning ...a good review as promised thanks for your service....you know who i am)
