“One of the best cocktails bars I have ever been to. Just upset that I found this place on the last night in Alvor. I would have loved to of sampled more of them.

The staff are amazing. Polite, great with kids, good at explaining the menu, patient and much more. Just so nice.

The service was prompt and friendly and the food didn’t take long at all. When it came it was amazing. Perfect temperature and so tasty. There was the full Indian menus available that you would expect, all the meats, all the sauces and all the extras.

We will definitely be back here when we are next in Alvor.”

“We popped in for an evening drink before dinner. Nice vibe, large area so doesn't feel crowded. Seats were a bit worn but comfy enough. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Plenty of sports TVs for the Olympics.”

“Rough and ready and brilliantly so. A good Mexican should feel a bit raw and ramshackle. The food however should be excellent, basic beef/chicken/prawns but full of piquant flavours that make the difference and in La Fiesta it was all of this. Staff were also excellent. Margaritas were great, just go to this restaurant you won’t be disappointed.”

“From start to finish everything was perfect. The waiter spoke to us on the street and we decided on this restaurant. The ambience was inviting and comfortable, the staff were extremely attentive and friendly, and they went out of their way to ensure that our visit was pleasant.The meal was a highlight. We had the home steak and it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly prepared to our liking, juicy, tender and full of flavor. The side dishes were also excellent.We were particularly impressed by how lovingly the staff treated our 7-month-old baby. They talked to our little one and played with her.We went out to eat (Swiss =)) at 6 p.m. and didn't have to make a reservation.All in all, our visit was a dream! I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone! “I'm a huge fan of Companhia das Indias curry house. Their food is excellent, with a lot of variety and quality. I tried the butter chicken, the mixed sabzi, and the paneer mutter, and they were all wonderful. “me and my family came to cafe alianca more than twice in alvôr, the food is amazing, and the staff are so friendly and kind, it’s not expensive and there are no negatives of this place whatsoever, you are able to smoke outside and the atmosphere is amazing too lots of people walking by in june 2024 (when we came), the food came within 10-15 minutes of ordering. we will without a doubt be coming back here everytime we come to alvôr.”

“Would definitely recommend this restaurant, it ticks all the boxes. The food was really good, the staff are friendly, the room is proof that, when done right, less is definitely more. The cocktails however were 5 star and worth going for on their own. Have at least one meal here per week, you won’t regret it.”

“We came in on a Saturday for lunch and got a multi piece course of different sushi and we were both really impressed by the quality and freshness of the fish and sushi rolls. We both really enjoyed the tempura rolls. Very filling three courses of different sushi and fresh fish, both couldn't eat anymore after!
Our waiter was incredible in describing each course of sushi and an overall really friendly and funny guy, the chefs were incredible and professional in preparing our food and they even make their own soy sauce which was very tasty.

“The jewel in this business are the owners. The lady who served us was absolutely lovely and very attentive and made us feel really welcome. It's a nice little, well run & clean snack bar, plus some. The food is basic in both terms of menu selection and presentation but nice although our orders were slow to arrive at the table which would have presented an issue if we were on a quick lunch stop. Prices are reasonable and in line with similar businesses. We'd certainly come again.My only criticism was towards inconsiderate customers on a neighbouring table who arrived and whose smoke from their foul habit was drifting over us as we finished our meal. We otherwise may have stayed for another drink or two.”

“This place is underrated. The quality of the food, along with the price-to-service ratio, is excellent! It’s busy, the food is fresh, and the cooks know what they’re doing.

Be sure to put your name down since they don’t accept reservations; it’s worth the wait. It’s a low-key spot with great food. The chicken and sea bass were particularly delicious, and you can taste the difference from cooking on charcoal.

I always check Google reviews before visiting a place. I saw some concerning comments about a red-haired lady, but after observing her while waiting for our table, I felt compelled to share my experience. This place is very busy, and she works hard to serve customers. She might not be the friendliest, but she’s not rude. In fact, she’s quite sweet if you show respect for her efforts. Thank you for the service and the delicious food. We will definitely be back!”

“Great food, far too slow to get a menu and to get food (about an hour wait after ordering). Lots of waffle from the waiter after he told us we were next and we watched for 30 minutes as plates left the kitchen, but nothing for us. It's to be expected that you may need to wait this time of year (the same happened last year and that is OK), but this was excessive and we would have preferred if they were honest with us. Better to say, "Sorry for the delay, it will be another 30 minutes" - we never asked, he volunteered to mislead us.

“The location is very good, and the people are very friendly. The food is ok. We went with the grilled fish as it seemed logical to do so on a fishing island... It was ok. Not great but well presented and nice vegetables. The white wine from one of the other islands (Pico) has some fame so we decided to try. Nice and fresh it was a pleasant surprise. Dessert was a third choice as the first 2 attempts were sold out but not signalled as such in the menu. A bit disappointing... Overall it was an ok experience with a nice view.”
