This is an evaluation of the restaurant only. We have eaten a couple of times here. Every time we really enjoyed the food and service. At lunch time it’s worth looking at the menu on the wall with specialities of the day. We recommend this restaurant

Our favourite restaurant on the Algarve. Have been to Alvor about 40/50 times in the last 20 years. We go into this restaurant about 3 times each visit. Family run, very friendly and top quality food @ sensible prices. Local Portuguese also use it , shows it must be sensibly priced and good.

I had Black Pork escalopes which were simply divine, scrumptious and so tasty; my wife had the plumpest sole I’ve ever seen and wonderfully cooked to perfection.

This restaurant was recommended to us and was a bit of a disappointment. The food was just okay. I had the steak served with vegetables and chips. The vegetables seemed as if they were steamed and bland. The chips were okay, slightly cold. The meat was fine. When we were led to the table, there was bread cheese, and these meat squares on the table. They were the appetizers automatically delivered to the table without ordering them. I am not a fan of this. I prefer to order appetizers on our own and be notified of the charges to be incurred. The waiter was not overly friendly or helpful. The food was served, and we never received another visit back to the table. I asked for a condiment, and it was brought to the table and a bottle that was totally empty. Dessert was not homemade, and was a prepared takeout dessert. I was definitely surprised by this. Overall, two of my friends had fish dishes and said the fish was good, but the four of us were not happy with the service or lack there of. The icing on the cake, was after spending over €120, we asked for a Takeaway container for some leftover meat and were charged. .30 for the container.
