Unfortunately not as described. We ordered the menu. We weren't allowed to choose starters; something was simply put in front of us. In addition, we were charged extra for rice. There was no invoice either, just a piece of paper written in pencil without anything. We were also charged more

We enjoyed attentive service and flavoursome dishes on the 2 for €30 deal. The waiter was very friendly, welcoming & attentive. The sides on offer are what could be described as mainly starters at other curry houses. And whilst the main course portion sizes were, in our opinion were small, the flavours were really good and we thoroughly enjoyed them. There are no frills as often found in other curry houses, such as compliment poppadoms, aniseed or a chocolate to finish, or a shot on the house, which are always a nice touch. The atmosphere and the dining room would also, in our opinion, have benefitted from a more authentic Indian feel. Instead, there was football on a TV & pop music being played, not really our thing when we went out for an authentic evening Indian meal.Would we recommend it? yes, if on a budget. Would we return? possibly but we would try other nearby alternatives first.

Good attentive service but lacking the frills. Very tasty main courses but could have been more generous in portion sizes. It didn't feel like a true good Indian curry experience either with football on the TV & pop music being played. The €30 deal for 2 isn't bad, but I think without the lack of frills, it's set at the right price. Personally, I prefer the more authentic experience, so will be unlikely to return. That said its convenient if coming from the bar 'their sister business' next door, it appears clean & and hygienic, with the €30 deal, good flavours we may dine here again for convenience as there's no major put offs.

I'm a huge fan of Companhia das Indias curry house. Their food is excellent, with a lot of variety and quality. I tried the butter chicken, the mixed sabzi, and the paneer mutter, and they were all wonderful. The butter chicken was creamy and rich, the mixed sabzi was nutritious and tasty, and the paneer mutter was cheesy and delicious. The service was also very good, very fast and polite. A great place to have some Indian food!

Companhia das Indias curry house is a wonderful place to have some Indian food. Their food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. I ordered the prawns vindaloo, the mushroom masala, and the vegetable rice, and they were all amazing. The prawns vindaloo was spicy and tender, the mushroom masala was creamy and hearty, and the vegetable rice was fluffy and aromatic. The service was also very good, very attentive and courteous.
