We came across this place by chance and wanted to sit outside although it was busy we managed to get a table. Staff were nice and we were served quickly. We both decided on chicken kebabs, one satay and one spicy. Huge platefuls with nice dipping sauces. We enjoyed the food so much we returned for a second meal during the week. This time we ordered a fish and chips and a sole. Again a good plateful of food which was very nice. Reasonable prices so worth a visit.

Worst place in the Algarve. 1 mixed sandwich and 1 Ucal, €8.Pastéis de nata and similar can be purchased at intermarché.The storefront is so small that it has 2 samples of each thing.Bread that is on the display is not for consumption, we have to choose toast from the menu.Service rating -2, they start saying the price without receiving the entire order (we were 2 people).Completely ridiculous, the potential of the place and who managed to ruin it like this.200 meters away, a plethora of cafes and establishments with superb windows and prices at 1/3.

Called a cafe but so much more. We ate here twice during our 10 day holiday in Alvor. Sunday 22nd October was a rainy day but we ventured out and they welcomed us in. Traditional Portuguese food served and even though we were all crammed inside due to the weather conditions they did their best to accomodate all comers. So many places were closed or only serving roast lunches.

We were a bit squashed in the corner of this restaurant but it was worth it as the food was so good. I had a salad with king prawns in a marie rose sauce, with sliced avocado and sliced mango on top of what seemed like half a lettuce there was so much. It was also served with baby tomatoes, grated carrots, onions and sprinkled with a variety of seeds. It was absolutely delicious. The avocado and mango were perfectly ripe. My husband enjoyed his tuna steak which was served with onion sauce, chips and salad. Two large beers finished the meal off. All for 34 euros. Excellent value for money.

This was our poorest meal in Alvor… very average food poor presentation the baked potato was awful. Lots of far better options .

Visited this restaurant twice while in Alvor. Very friendly staff and food very tasty and deserts even better. Very reasonable prices for food and wine. Would definitely recommend

This is the 3rd time I have been on holiday to Portugal with my mum and I just wanted to say how amazing Albar is, we always visit here for a meal and never had a bad experience. For us the customer service is always good and the food is tasty.. certainly one of my favourite restaurants in Alvor. Thank You Albar ❤️ ?? ?️ ?

While I cannot fault the food, the service was appalling. Our order was taken by a very nice girl and she brought our drinks and an hour later we were still waiting while people around who came after us were served before us. We complained that our meal hadn't been served and they apologised and the food was then served. When we finished we asked for a manager, none was available so his second in command spoke to usand his attitude was that the meals were cooked as they were ordered and there was nothing he could do about it. He didn't accept that this in any way their fault and he wasn't prepared in any way to compensate us for the delay. Really bad customer service.

We are here a few times and always enjoyed it. We had a variety of meals and they were all very nice and were good value for the centre of Alvor. Sometimes there was a bit of a wait for food but they were very busy but the staff were always very friendly and helpful

Simple, roadside cafe with VERY EXPENSIVE prices (one Sumol and two tiny sandwiches, with just a VERY THIN slice of HAM = €10). I've lived in the Algarve for over 15 years and nothing like this has ever happened to me. The sandwiches are very poorly served, there is no fresh orange juice (and that's a good thing! Because if there was, I would probably have to take out a loan to pay for a glass), the window is tiny with very little variety and everything is of very low quality. Service is poor and unfriendly. Rating 0 for this place.
We stopped for a coffee and some cream and we really liked the place. Very easy to park, the owner was very kind and a very quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of the neighboring beaches. My girl loved the little roof on the terrace that was made of reeds and all very white.

Stupidly expensive and lazy service.2 coffees and 2 cakes €8.5Bakery and pastry foods are “poor” and prices that are not justified. For example, a Neapolitan, one of the worst I've ever had, at 3€ (the kind you can buy in any supermarket for cents).These days they don't have lactose-free options. Those who charge these prices should at least think about these dietary restrictions.It was 11 am and they no longer had something as simple as freshly squeezed orange juice.Space nothing special.

Bad service, he came out running to ask what we wanted and in the end he said “it's prepayment” (he wasn't even going to listen to the order until the end).There is no notice on the outside, as it would not cost us anything to go inside and ask if that were the case.Then we went inside and found out that 2 milk socks and 2 regular breads with butter cost 12€!!!!! Ridiculous (out-of-the-box bread costs €0.80).I do not recommend.
