Having spent a week on the island and eaten great food. We decided to try this place since it was close to our Airbnb. We have to say it was the least tasteful meal we had so far on our trip. The shrimp appetizer while looking delicious was over cooked and had no flavours. The bread and cheese plate was good taste wise along with the blood sausages. For the main coarse. The tuna was one meal. Asked for it seared but rare. It came out well done and tasteless. The pork and shrimp meal, pork was thin so not much flavour and the shrimp again over cooked and the fries where cold. The fish and prawn tile plate. The fish was very good but again the prawns where over cooked and flavour less. It was our most expensive outing in our week here and it was also our least flavoured meal.

The location is very good, and the people are very friendly. The food is ok. We went with the grilled fish as it seemed logical to do so on a fishing island... It was ok. Not great but well presented and nice vegetables. The white wine from one of the other islands (Pico) has some fame so we decided to try. Nice and fresh it was a pleasant surprise. Dessert was a third choice as the first 2 attempts were sold out but not signalled as such in the menu. A bit disappointing... Overall it was an ok experience with a nice view.

We went without reservation and immediately got a place inside. It was very busy so waiting time was quite long to receive our food after ordering. Friendly waiter and patron, nice location (using local materials in modern setting). Food was good - not exceptional. The food casserole for 2 was served in a nice copper bowl. It would have been good to give soup plates and spoon so one can better enjoy the tasty sauce.

Mediocre food!!! Went there based on reviews, and we were very disappointed. Food either uncooked or overcooked, not tasty at all

This is a very nice spot overlooking the ocean, with a good beverage menu and local seafood. The service is friendly and the restaurant has a pleasant easy-going air about it.

Our worst restaurant experience on the Azores by far. We reserved a table the day before (based on positive reviews we’d read) and were told they only do sittings at 7 or 8.30pm so we booked for 8.30pm. When we arrived on time for our reservation, we joined a long line and ended up having to wait 15 minutes before the manager even spoke to us. Eventually we were shown to our table, with no acknowledgement or apology for our wait. During our wait, we saw plenty of waiting staff and the manager standing around, and several available tables that just needed to be cleaned and set. There seemed to be no organisation at all. When we were seated, we became aware that the menu was different to the one advertised at the front of the restaurant and what we’d been shown at the time of booking. Not only this, but when ordering (not before), the waiter informed us that several items were unavailable from the updated menu. We’d chosen the restaurant partly due to vegetarian options but, in the end, all that was on offer was an omelette and vegan pasta (plain spaghetti with quinoa and overcooked broccoli). Once we ordered our food, we waited 45 mins for it to arrive and, in all honesty, it was very mediocre. Then we saw a cockroach crawl past our table. The bill we were presented with was incorrect. We didn’t seem to be the only ones - several nearby tables also had issues with their bills. Fundamentally the whole restaurant and staff seemed to lack management and training.

Lovely view but such terrible service and some of the food was inedible. We waited ages to get served and the waitress was miserable. They served raw potatoes with my son’s steak. I told them they didn’t care. Also when it rains they only have umbrellas which means you get absolutely soaked. Maybe go just for a drink.

We waited more than an hour for our order and didn't get it. We left hungry to find another restaurant

Wr had awesome Cocktails and a beautiful sunset. The vegetarian Pasta is really nice and the passionfruit Steat was also good.

Nicely located restaurant along the coastline offering a nice view from the terrace. Reservation system doesn’t work at all, but anyway we got a seat. Excellent garlic bread, followed by the arroz maresco ; not the type of arroz you expect in spain. Good wine for a good price.

Amazing food! Amazing view! Totally worth it! Really good service too… everyone is really nice! We had the tuna steak and Bradesco, the chicken with pineapple was really good. Cocktails are a must too

Don’t pay attention to the other reviews-this restaurant is excellent. We had the grilled fish and the monk fish, and we were both blown away with the quality, presentation and taste. Service was wonderful as well. Great patio and the inside is very nice as well with gorgeous ocean views. Put this on your list if you are in the area!

The starters were good, but the mains were extremely disappointing. The puff pastry was alright but the octopus (usually delicious in the Azores) and tuna steak were both way too cooked; most importantly, the fish « fillet » was soggy, tasteless and practically inedible - and an incorrect translation of what was essentially battered fish. They clearly count on the nice terrasse and ocean view to attract customers.

This is a great spot near the ocean for a scenic drink or snack. We went for dinner- the staff was not particularly friendly and we didn’t love our meals. My husband got the prawns wrapped in bacon on a tile. This sounds great in theory, but the prawns weren’t peeled, which meant a lot of buttery, messy work with no extra utensils or napkins. I got the chicken/pineapple/rice which was super salty and disappointing for a simple meal. Go for a drink and the garlic bread and call it a night! Ps yes they have good wine
