Portions were huge. The starters were great, mains looked amazing, but I had to send Chiken Kebabs back as some chicken was uncooked. The burger for the kids was too dense (lack of fat in the grind) so wasn't appetising. Lamb shank was very good.
With most establishments taking more margin on drinks, it's always a surprise when restaurants don't encourage more drinks. We had to ask twice for a 2nd drink, and they never tried to offer the table anything else.
It was a nice place, but there are plenty of options in Alvor.

We stayed in Alvor for a short break and came across this little gem. Lovely friendly staff and the couple who own it, were so helpful and friendly. Great banter with them, both being from a NI also. Can't recommend this place enough. Nice and chilled out and just a lovely place to hang out and suck up the atmosphere.

Really nice meal here, we shared the garlic prawns which were delicious as was the chicken Maryland. My son really enjoyed their chicken goujons starter (really good quality and homemade). They do an amazing value lunch menu if you prefer to eat earlier in the day. We had the Portuguese almond tart and while it was nice enough you would have needed a chainsaw to cut it it, it was so hard.
