This was an amazing restaurant, so glad we found it snd had 2 fab meals in our week there , the staff made us feel so welcome, the food was beyond fantastic with a great selection on the menu and at very reasonable prices ,the whole experience was so enjoyable , we will definitely be returning on our mext trip , thank you so much to all the staff at Thyme x

First time in Alvor first time here. Booked it based on reviews. Very nice decor, friendly greeting. Compact but sufficient menu which tells me what they do they do well. Indeed they do. My wife had fish goujons to start, I had chicken livers in puff pastry. Both very tasty and good portions sizes. For mains I had Lamb shank my wife had sirloin steak in mushroom sauce. Both meals were cooked well. The lamb just fell off of the bone. We chose a medium priced Douro wine €21.50, it was very very nice! No puddings as the portions are good and we are not big eaters these days. All in with a tip we came in at €96. A nice finish is the free drink they give you which you cash in at the bar downstairs. We left very happy and very full. ?
