My wife, my son and I came because of the good rating on Tripadvisor and the truth is that it did not disappoint. First we ordered some garlic prawns and mussels and apart from being well cooked, the product was really fresh. For the second we ordered seafood paella because we come from Catalonia and we also wanted it, to the point, perfectly cooked and with very fresh product. The service is also very attentive. Out of 10 everything.

Found this gem through positive reviews so called and booked a table.

Welcome and service were fantastic and friendly and it was clear they had a sense of pride in the restaurant.

We ordered the prawn and crab croquettes followed by the suckling pig and lamb shank. Both were superbly presented and tasted great. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, our expectations were far too high. I expect something different from such a well-rated restaurant. Dirty tablecloths outside even though we were there first of the day. They didn't look any better on the other tables either. Table decorations are plastic. Also disappointing as this city is blooming at the seams.

The food itself wasn't that bad, but really disappointing. The quality of the ingredients was ok, but the vegetables were almost raw, really not good with carrots and green beans. The same vegetables are served alongside pork ribs or shrimp: carrots, green beans, broccoli. Completely unseasoned, just half cooked. The salad that was served alongside the ribs looked fresh, but was completely inedible, I don't know what type of salad or other herbs they were. Dressing was also missing, you get salt, pepper and olive oil on the table, but they also have their limits. You really don’t have to be a good cook to cook this way.

Oh yes: starter: pata negra ham with tomatoes on bread: the ham was of course good, so the price was way too high for it: but seriously: the bread with tomatoes was soggy, too thin and there was just a thin layer of pureed tomatoes on it, too here, completely unseasoned!!!

Seriously: I wouldn't have thought it possible to miss something like this: just cut the bread a little thicker, toast it evenly (!!!) and top it with real diced tomatoes (dressed with olive oil, garlic and salt). Easy and delicious, it's not that hard, for God's sake make it better for the other customers.

In my opinion, the restaurant doesn't really deserve the good reviews, even supposedly being ranked 2nd in Tripadvisor. You really have to do something about that, which now seems to me like bought reviews or a trick to not let the bad reviews through. Whether mine arrives online...

We had some amazing food here. I think the prawn and crab croquettes are the best I have ever had. We also had the squid ink paella which was incredible. The waitresses were very friendly.
A point to note was that we had our 4 month old baby with us and there are no baby changing facilities.

Great restaurant! A little difficult to access by car but a very nice discovery.
The meat is super good, the service impeccable and fast. The bill is a little high for Portugal but the quality is there! One must know what one wants.

Excellent food and service with a different kind of menu from many other local restaurants. Give it a try.
