“Typical Portuguese food restaurant. There's a lot of variety on the menu at reasonable prices, a little over 10 euros per dose. The dishes are very prepared and in large quantities. The cuttlefish and seafood feijoada is very good. The desserts are great, especially the farófias and the almond tart.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access as the restaurant is on the ground floor“

“Crazy place for a restaurant! Quite inconspicuous on a residential street in a suburb of Lisbon. It's best to reserve! You have to ring the bell when you arrive and are then taken to a back room...very exciting...tapas-moderate dishes...great for sharing
Dessert tip: banana coffee“

“This Sunday and Mother's Day I decided to come for lunch to the Restaurant/Cervejaria O Javali in Bairro da Mina/Amadora. Typical restaurant serving traditional Portuguese food with most of the dishes focusing on Game Meat.
To start, there was Bread, Olives, Dry Cheese and good Ham and for the main course I ordered the Boar Tenderloins accompanied by good French Fries and Rice. The tenderloins are marinated in garlic vinegar, which makes them super tender and very tasty. I accompanied this beautiful dish with Alentejano Red Wine Ouro do Monte. Meal finished with a wonderful slice of Homemade Pudding. Friendly service, quick service and prices averaging €20 per person.
I recommend!“

“I'm a regular customer. Simple place, with good food, at good prices and very friendly. At lunch they make menus. In the afternoon it's a really cool place to go for a snack at a good price and with a good atmosphere. There is good seafood and some good snails and snails from Thursday to Sunday. It must be one of the best imperials around Lisbon.“

“Very tasty pizza, the dough is a little different (thinner) than what we are used to seeing, but the concept was explained by the attendant who also showed me the flavors available and gave me all the information I asked for.The ingredients were very good and there was still the possibility of adding more ingredients to the pizza, but I wanted to try it as proposed and I didn't regret it.I took it to go, I believe if I had eaten it locally it would have been even tastier.“

“Very good service and excellent food, we were there late and got served our dinner without problems. We promised to come back before our departure home but finally could’nt make it wich was a bummer since we enjoyed a lot the first time. Maybe next time!“

“If you haven't been to this place, you're missing out big time! Mushroom lover or not, you need to try this restaurant! In some dishes you don't even see the mushrooms, but rest assured, they are there. We tried a few dishes, my favourites were the perfect egg, the hummus, the risotto, and the desserts. Special node to the desserts, especially if you enjoy a bit of savouriness, definitely go for them. The restaurant has a very interesting character that is left open to interpretation and it's a good point for discussion. Overall a fantastic experience, definitely a must when visiting Lisbon. You won't find traditional Portuguese dishes, but you might find a new favourite restaurant!“

“Visiting Lisbon with my family from Boston. Came across this hidden gem while searching for restaurants on google maps. From the time we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. We chose to sit out back, mainly because we had our two young sons with us. We ordered a caprese salad, minestrone soup, garlic bread, french fries, tomato bruschetta, 2 margharita pizzas and penne carbonara. My goodness! Everything was delicious and the price point was PERFECT! It was wonderful chatting with our server! Clearly everyone at this establishment takes a great deal of pride in what they do. I honestly would drive an hour to eat here again. It’s really that good! Hoping to stop by before our trip back to Boston!“

“Very good home cooking. A good place to eat a delicious Cod a la Nata. The place is small but we were lucky and there was a table for 4. The price is appropriate for the quality although it is not cheap, but a day of tribute is worth the expense.“

“It reflects the best positive reviews: dinner for three with risotto, fish soup and grilled octopus. Excellent flavors in good balance, quality in the food and courtesy in the service, shame that it is closed tomorrow, we would have gladly returned to taste the meat.“

“If you don’t eat here while in Lisbon you’re missing out. The atmosphere is perfectly set, tucked away from the major tourist areas of Old Town makes this feel more intimate and local! Staff are attentive without disrupting your meal, happy to give recommendations and advice (shout out in particular to our waiter Diego). The food is in the simplest terms - delicious. Some of the best meals I’ve ever had, we ate twice here as we didn’t feel we’d find better in Lisbon. The restaurant is a credit to all their staff, I’d give it 10 stars if I could.“

“This experience felt like a warm farewell hug to end my time in Lisbon. I stopped by at dinner time hours before my flight back home. I wanted to end my trip with a wine tasting and found this place on Google. I decided to try it based on the reviews. The overall experience exceeded my expectations. The owner was kind, welcoming, and attentive. I chose 3 plates I was interested in and he decided the order in which to serve them and what wine to pair them with. The flavors of everything were unreal. I might still be riding a little bit of a high from this experience. Absolutely stop by here during your trip.“

“We went there for dinner and it was honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been too.
Nice vibes, small but spacious and wonderful staff.
The food was INCREDIBLE! We had the Tuna Tataki, Tuna Tartar, Ceviche, Shrimp Tacos as starters, the Miso Octopus and Scallop Linguine as mains and the amazing Caramel Lava Cake for dessert. Every single dish was perfectly seasoned and tasted awesome.
I would give a thousand stars if Google let me, and I'll definitely come back! ?“

“Exceptional restaurant.
We discovered this restaurant on TheFork.
We had dinner there twice. We were very well received. There is a very good atmosphere, with a wonderful sharing of culture and origins.
The waitress speaks Portuguese but also English very well.
The meat is of impeccable quality. It is tender and perfectly cooked.
There is a superb wine cellar, and the waitress advises very well.
If you read this review, go for it!!!
Remember to make a reservation as the restaurant is popular.“

“Food was good. Service friendly and quick. The impression was somewhat marred by the already very worn/used menu (laminated A3 format with marked dishes that are no longer in stock) and the handwritten invoice (amounts are more for guessing than reading, the whole thing on a small piece of paper).
Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance via a step, so not recommended with a wheelchair.“

“It is a great family tranditional taste restaurant, everything is great, food, drinks and services. We shared table side by side with local people but it was so great experiences....we enjoyed the food with the people around us. We just love everything there. Even with the questions about local tourist sites, they took time to guide us ....just so warm and kind: the mother, father and the son, great“

“A relaxed and very nice place, with domestic tappas and some main dishes.
We ate some tapas and burgers. The burger was one of the top 3 that I ate. The waiter was great and translated the Portuguese menu into brilliant English. Definitely worth a return visit soon.

“A place with good service and good treatment, if you come in a large group it is a good recommendation because they will give you space.
The food is not very outstanding but the prices are very fair in relation to quality and price.
What you should take into account is that if it is hot outside, it is very hot inside the place. I would recommend that owners think about having air conditioning.“
“[email protected] My husband and I are still in awe with our experience at Rossio Gastrobar. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and they took the time to thoroughly explain what to expect from our dining experience. Our server was a true professional, able to suggest a wine based on our preferences and his choice was delightful. We were overjoyed at each and every step, from the starters to the main courses and on to the desserts - everything was delicious, and the portions were perfect. To top it all off, the rooftop views overlooking the bustling city of Lisbon provided a perfect backdrop to our meal. We'll certainly be back for more!“

“The food was great. Amazing quality. However, the portions are very small and the prices are a bit expensive.
The staff was great, super friendly and helpful
The only thing I’d change are the portions. for the price I think they can increase it“

“They have attended us without reservation with great friendliness and availability. The person at the reception is charming. The place has a very careful decoration and is integrated into the neighborhood. We ordered exquisite cod brais, grilled tuna with coconut milk, delicious, and linguine with tartufo, also very good. Highly recommended if you come to Lisbon. We missed trying the powder, what a shame.“

“Spectacular food and service show why Alma deserves their two Michelin stars! We enjoyed every dish, and the pork and potato terrine remains the best dish we experienced on our trip across Portugal.
A small deduction was made for the environment, which is beautiful but puts guests a little close together in what became a noisier dinner experience than we would expect for the upscale nature. Additionally, the overall value rounds out the 4/5 review. We would never expect such artistic culinary creations to be frugal, but the cost of the tasting menu with no consideration for wine pairing was a small note in the negative.
All in all we would recommend Alma as an experience if you love appreciating the art that fine dining can be, and their staff were some of the best in the business!“

“The second time in three days that we have come here especially for them. They confirm themselves to be excellence for us. We ate in other places in Lisbon but how you eat here and for what you pay is incomparable to anyone else. The service then unsurpassed. They are very attentive to the customer, it feels like family, generous portions and very low prices. They also offered us some liqueurs at the end and an extra coffee. They are wonderful people. I have no other words to describe them, only that if you don't pass by here you don't know what you're missing. You won't find anything better.“

“The food was good!
The dishes were well made, good plating and presentation.
As for the dishes, rich, flavorful, you could tell that the product was good. We noticed the care in the plating and the service was very friendly (both the girl and the boy).
The price may be a little high for what we ordered, but not excessive.“

“Very pleasant restaurant, reservation being essential to eat there, the number of people in the room is regulated and allows a calm meal in a subdued atmosphere.
The service is warm and quality, the owner takes care to personalize the service and all with a smile.
The cuisine is hearty and tasty.
We had a great time marking the end of our stay in Lisbon, and can only recommend it.
Vegetarian options: You can taste a Portuguese sausage specialty with meat and bread, suitable for vegetarians. The vegetarian dishes are very tasty.“

“The food, the atmosphere and service were all outstanding. The waiters were all super nice, the mashed potatoes, cod and the national loin thing were all amazing, and you could see the chef making everything by hand, making a new batch of mashed potatoes every time someone ordered it. The prices were really good for how good the food was, and this is probably the best restaurant I have ever been to!“

“Taken by friends, as I was unfamiliar with the place, it proved to be a gastronomic surprise, despite the noise not allowing for large conversations. Without ever reaching the stratospheric limit of "divine", the small restaurant served dishes of good, honest and unpretentious Portuguese food. The only negative note for the creamed milk, floured and with few eggs, which could have been something from a packet. A shame, because the burnt sugar topping was delicious.“

“An incredible place to have a snack.
There is always a wide variety of snacks that are very out of the box.
In addition to the photos, the pica pau and the kebab are worth highlighting.
The owners are always very approachable but it is the type of restaurant that you have to book well in advance, as the turnout is large!“
