“So many encounters
An absolutely exquisite atmosphere. The servers welcomed us and a strong bond was formed between our group of customers and our 2 wonderful servers.
Joke after joke, they were at the forefront of humor but always without exceeding the limits of courtesy.
The food was tasty and we were able to discover local specialties.
Little extra: the interior is decorated with pipes and creates a really nice atmosphere
Bom Dia!“

“We were two people, we ordered Portuguese style bitoque and bait.
I haven't eaten such tasty bait in a long time.
The bitoque, the meat very tender, and the sauce well seasoned.
I recommend it, and I will return because of the friendliness, the good homemade food and the good atmosphere.“

“Thank you for this exceptional gastronomic experience! The service was very kind and the chef Matheus is fantastic. We think Zazah has to be the best restaurant in Lisbon.
We will be back (hopefully) soon!

“We went there for dinner and it was honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been too.
Nice vibes, small but spacious and wonderful staff.
The food was INCREDIBLE! We had the Tuna Tataki, Tuna Tartar, Ceviche, Shrimp Tacos as starters, the Miso Octopus and Scallop Linguine as mains and the amazing Caramel Lava Cake for dessert. Every single dish was perfectly seasoned and tasted awesome.
I would give a thousand stars if Google let me, and I'll definitely come back! ?“

“This experience felt like a warm farewell hug to end my time in Lisbon. I stopped by at dinner time hours before my flight back home. I wanted to end my trip with a wine tasting and found this place on Google. I decided to try it based on the reviews. The overall experience exceeded my expectations. The owner was kind, welcoming, and attentive. I chose 3 plates I was interested in and he decided the order in which to serve them and what wine to pair them with. The flavors of everything were unreal. I might still be riding a little bit of a high from this experience. Absolutely stop by here during your trip.“

“Spectacular food and service show why Alma deserves their two Michelin stars! We enjoyed every dish, and the pork and potato terrine remains the best dish we experienced on our trip across Portugal.
A small deduction was made for the environment, which is beautiful but puts guests a little close together in what became a noisier dinner experience than we would expect for the upscale nature. Additionally, the overall value rounds out the 4/5 review. We would never expect such artistic culinary creations to be frugal, but the cost of the tasting menu with no consideration for wine pairing was a small note in the negative.
All in all we would recommend Alma as an experience if you love appreciating the art that fine dining can be, and their staff were some of the best in the business!“

“Charming little restaurant with great wine-food pairings. Friendly staff and very helpful explanations on their different selections of Portuguese wines! Highly recommend the roasted fig salad, the roasted peppers dish, and the game sausage!

“Taken by friends, as I was unfamiliar with the place, it proved to be a gastronomic surprise, despite the noise not allowing for large conversations. Without ever reaching the stratospheric limit of "divine", the small restaurant served dishes of good, honest and unpretentious Portuguese food. The only negative note for the creamed milk, floured and with few eggs, which could have been something from a packet. A shame, because the burnt sugar topping was delicious.“

“What we ordered was very good, soup of the day with vegetables and legumes, rice with octopus, and homemade caramel cream for dessert. The service is fast and the waiters very attentive, they have invited us to ginja liqueur. Recommended site!“

“Just finished a delicious meal at this Gem of a restaurant.
I would 100% recommend anyone to try it and enjoy what is easily one of our top meals since coming to Lisbon. To top of off the guys that run it are awesome, super friendly and warm.
Really fab. x“

“I really liked this place. The majority of things on the menu were vegan. We came for Sunday brunch. Me and husband both had sourdough toast with hummus and vegan feta which was very tasty. He had a freshly squeezed juice and I had iced coffee with chocolate brownie on top- delicious! Several vegan cake options and the vegan banana pancakes looked delicious too.“

“Fantastic experience. When you come in, there is bread, butter, olives, ham & cheese on the table - you do not have to take it, but you'll miss out. It's so good! We chose the fish and were not dissapointed. They brought a whole lobster for 2 people, plus shrimps and clams - on top of the dish Base with rice, port and small shrimps
Extensive wine list - we were overwhelmed and asked out server for a recommendation. She suggested a very well priced red that was a good match for our meal.
Recommend.“

“Absolutely lovely authentic Portuguese food. We had the oxtail, the turbot, and the mushroom rice. Also the starters were amazing including the dried Tuna salad and the squid. Super attentive service by Alex, they were fully booked but then accommodated us. Highly recommended and cannot wait to go again“

“A restaurant on the new avenues of Lisbon, with a neighborhood atmosphere, without tourists, where Portuguese is spoken.
Great service, typical Portuguese food very well prepared. Partridge game dishes were a delicacy.
I recommend.“
“Nous sommes venus ici pour dîner sur ma dernière nuit à Lisbonne. Pendant que nous mangions sorte de tard c'était assez donc mes amis et moi avons pu vraiment profiter de notre conversation. Le service était excellent et ils ont eu la gentillesse d'expliquer certains des plats sur le menu qui est faite de la cuisine essentiellement locale. C'est un prix raisonnable et la nourriture goûts incroyable. Vraiment j'espère avoir l'occasion d'y retourner.“

“A superb address!
Unfortunately when we came the restaurant was relocated due to work. We were therefore unable to discover their environment.
But we were lucky to be able to try their cuisine. The waitress gave us very good advice on the choice and quantities of tapas. Everything was excellent. Special mention for the tuna…incredible!
Address not to be missed in Lisbon.“

“My wife and I were visiting Portugal for our Honeymoon and decided to make reservations at SUBA! I am so glad we did because it was our favorite restaurant experience during our whole trip. The location is great, the the views were amazing and the food was some of the best I have ever had!
The staff was very attentive and felt very laid back and not as high strung as other Michelin star places which I enjoyed. Felt like less pressure when eating, there was no rush and everything came out perfectly. The dishes presentations were hands down some of the best plating I have seen. Each dish was like an art piece and tasted delicious. I did the tasting menu and wife stuck to A La Carte.
The kitchen threw us some starter dishes and balanced our servings accordingly since I had way more dishes then my wife which was nice. The desserts were awesome and the cocktails were great! We did mention to the sommelier we were not wine drinkers when he came to our table. There was no issue with this whatsoever.
After dinner, our waiter Francisco told us about the rooftop. We got to chat with Joanna as well and informed us all about the building and the history. That rooftop bar was such a special treat after dessert. There was nobody on the rooftop considering every rooftop bar is mobbed at sunset. I was very surprised but we were told by the hotel staff in the lobby it's because they have a minimum to drink on the rooftop which probably discourages some guests but for us, we loved it, felt very intimate and special being our anniversary!“

“We did the classic review spiral before going to Loco and had hesitated after seeing some of what was written. We decided to just go for it, and I'm so glad we did!! It was an amazing experience. We have never had such attentive service (they even noticed my husband was left handed and rearranged his place setting!). On top of that, the food was so creative and dynamic. They're zero waste mentality was exceptional. I loved that they kept coming back to it to show how they use the whole ingredient. Definitely recommend doing the wine pairing, as they are very generous pours and really enhanced the food and experience.“

“This is a really fun and exciting place to try! The seafood taco was such an awesome flavour bomb. Really great flavours overall. It has a loud and busy energy which made service a little slow at times. We are usually very easygoing guests which sometimes leads to slower service as those who demand more receive it. But overall the staff seemed really excited and worked as a great team! If we were staying longer would definitely come back to try more. Might recommend eating outside if you'd like it a bit quieter.“

“The ambiance is so cute! I ducked into this place while it was sprinkling out and loved the stone walls and intimate setting. Josef was my server and was so kind to educate me on traditional Portuguese feed. I had the Couvert followed by the cod with cream and both were incredible! I also had the house red and it was so yummy. Josef was attentive, kind and funny. I enjoyed my time!“

“Away from the busiest parts of the city, the food and atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for! I would highly recommend if you are in the area. Very good prices and delicious, unique food, if you are visiting as a tourist. Recommended by our tour guide who lives in the city, and very happy we decided to visit!“

“Lively place with good service and good options for a snack or a meal. The croquette starter, which seems to have a certain reputation here, reminded me of those snacks from children's parties ?. The fish served are fresh and very well prepared. The fries could have been hotter and crispier. The house white wine was served chilled and did not disappoint.
The bill was a little steep, but the experience was pleasant. It's a shame they don't have homemade dessert options, like rice pudding (that was out of stock on the day). The draft beer served here is Sagres, which in my opinion loses to Super Bock.“

“A delicious and charming place on a peaceful square, next to Villa Sousa. The servers are very friendly and the prawns and gnocchi are to die for! Antonio, the owner who is also a sculptor, gave the place a special soul thanks to a unique decoration that he sculpted himself. Thank you for your welcome!“

“The food was extraordinary, sort of eccentric and exotic, overall delicious, perfect for sharing. The interior of the restaurant was very urban and rich with original art pieces. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and cooperative! Will visit again!? ?“

“We never felt as comfortable in a restaurant on vacation as we did here.
The food was great, the wine was delicious. But the hospitality was something very special. Although we spoke little Portuguese (and the boss only little English), we were able to communicate well and laugh together. It was a great time. Really recommended! Thanks to Aurelio.“

“I highly recommend it. The food is good, the space is quiet and we were very well served by Luís.
I will definitely come back to eat the same, I didn't think I would like a meat dish made in a seafood restaurant so much ??“

“Authentic!!!! An incredible, fun atmosphere, current and traditional Portuguese music. Screw they don't reserve, so, lucky, but the tables rotate easily... the food is original and very good... the service advises you well..
The usual thing is to share, but they also have individual dishes
you will love it“

“Right at the entrance we were welcomed even though we didn't have a reservation and as there were tables available, we were given the freedom to choose where we wanted to stay! We appreciate it soon!!!
Afterwards, we had the pleasure of being attended to by Tiago, who is an employee who does the housework! A generosity, friendliness, honesty and attention to the customer that makes us want to come back!
The food is very good, we tried the grilled goat chops, simple but delicious with the real flavor of the meat!!! but the menu is excellent and there are plates to share with the best meat available for all tastes and for all sizes of groups of customers!
They recommend reservations for Friday and Saturday nights and you can request a reservation to be attended by Tiago!
We are from Porto and we felt like we were at home, in a good place!
Parking: Next to the restaurant entrance“

“Chose Bastardo for our 'big dinner out' on our recent stay in Lisbon.
It was good on the whole but for the prices I was disappointed.
The food was good and it arrived promptly.
However the drink service was very slow and the waiters not attentive enough to realise.
They seemed more interested in getting you through the service so they could clear up and relay the table ready for the next customer. This perhaps works during the day but in the evening when they have the space why rush the food?
I'd asked for the wine menu but no one came to take an order!
I would try it again if I'm back in Lisbon, I may have just been unlucky.“

“A gourmet restaurant that well deserves its Michelin star. We appreciated the quality of the service, the dishes offered are tasty and very finely cooked. As a perfectly cooked camarao starter, the dishes are salmon sorrel and tasty veal cordon bleu. The saint honored for dessert with very fine choux pastry. The icing on the cake was the sweet treats at the end of the meal, and the appetizer as a starter were perfect. We recommend the lunch menu at 45 euros which is great value for money.“

“I fell in love with this restaurant since the first time.
The atmosphere and service is nice, and the staff is very friendly. I really like the concept of sharing food when I go out to eat and this is exactly the concept of the restaurant.
They usually have some ambience traditional Portuguese music playing like fado and others, which complements very well the overall atmosphere.
The food is very tasty and the portions are generous.
Definitely an experience to repeat several times and a place where I want to come again with several of my friends.“

“We had an excellent lunch. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly. What made our lunch so special was our Waiter Emerson. He recommended great food and was incredibly helpful and kind. Unfortunately they had a shift change so we didn't get to say a special thank you to him so here it is. Thanks for making our lunch so special Emerson.“

“Good morning to me, the best restaurant where you can eat the best cod in Lisbon and the surrounding area, I already ate Bacalhau à Marítima there with 3 people and it was top price and quality, that day we also ate a ham which was delicious.
Regarding meat and cod, they are of excellent quality.
I highly recommend this restaurant, five-star service, very friendly and simple, family atmosphere and an airy, spacious and sanitized place.
I loved it ?
Parking: Behind the restaurant there is a good park.“

“A chance discovery, but wonderful. Friendly, cordial treatment and concerned about giving us all kinds of information. Nice and well-distributed room, it was not crowded and they placed us next to a large open window WITH Exceptional VIEWS. We opted for the menu option that consisted of two first, two main and two dessert options. Glass of wine, beer or water. We chose Salad for starter, Sea Bass for main course and ice cream for dessert. Glass of white and red wine.
Everything was very, very delicious, highlighting the fish that was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by various vegetables and a soft and tasty puree accompanied by a yellow sauce that I suspect was very very mild mustard that together gave very varied nuances of flavor. very tasty. So much so that I couldn't help but spread the bread on the plate.
In short, an experience that I hope we can repeat and without a doubt allows me to recommend this place without fear of disappointing anyone who shares this experience.“

“If you haven't been to this place, you're missing out big time! Mushroom lover or not, you need to try this restaurant! In some dishes you don't even see the mushrooms, but rest assured, they are there. We tried a few dishes, my favourites were the perfect egg, the hummus, the risotto, and the desserts. Special node to the desserts, especially if you enjoy a bit of savouriness, definitely go for them. The restaurant has a very interesting character that is left open to interpretation and it's a good point for discussion. Overall a fantastic experience, definitely a must when visiting Lisbon. You won't find traditional Portuguese dishes, but you might find a new favourite restaurant!“

“Visiting Lisbon with my family from Boston. Came across this hidden gem while searching for restaurants on google maps. From the time we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. We chose to sit out back, mainly because we had our two young sons with us. We ordered a caprese salad, minestrone soup, garlic bread, french fries, tomato bruschetta, 2 margharita pizzas and penne carbonara. My goodness! Everything was delicious and the price point was PERFECT! It was wonderful chatting with our server! Clearly everyone at this establishment takes a great deal of pride in what they do. I honestly would drive an hour to eat here again. It’s really that good! Hoping to stop by before our trip back to Boston!“
