“We reserved a table for 9, we got there in perfect time, they told us we called the wrong number, we checked with the restaurant owner and it was the exact same phone number you can find here, we tried to call the number in front of them and they hanged it in front of us. Unfortunately we don't understand Portuguese but they were clearly talking about us negatively. Reading comments we could understand they don't like foreigners that look "poor" and prefer to take reservations just for drinking and not eating. If you want to try and go there just know you can get rejected just because they don't like you by your look.
Good luck i guess.
EDIT: I'll keep the last comment because I think it should be clear what happened, they called us the next day saying sorry, they had a problem with a new manager, the "old" one asked if we wanted to go back to the place the next day, we did and they offered us a lot of food and drinks and they apologized, the food was grate and the "old" manager was really a awesome person, very pleasant dinner“

“I had been coming here a few years ago and I remember loving it, so I decided to go back to see the new menu.
I ordered the Hey Salmon, which is an authentic fusion of European and Asian flavors. It has Nordic-style marinated salmon, Greek Tzatziki, Asian Edamame beans, and even red onion pickles that add that impeccable finishing touch. It was magnificent, I loved the composition, a perfect delight. And to continue the global flavor route, Eastern European Syrniki for dessert, with wild fruits and caramel, in an alchemy of flavors of phenomenal charm. The only thing I didn't like was the Passion Fruit Lemonade, which is completely artificial, carbonated, and you can see that it's already bottled, it's not made there, and it's anything but natural. It's a shame, the delicious dishes deserved a worthy drink. Service was quick and friendly.“

“What I love about this place is that it is not some chain restaurant thing. You can see the vibe of the family business, very nice and chill atmosphere. In Lisabon there are a lot of immigrants who work there in supermarkets, chain restaurants, gift shops etc. So I was looking for some domestic energy in every corner ! And found it here in an unexpected location:)“

“On the side of the house. Always very crowded, I thought it was more of a tourist place, one of those full of frills, but it's the opposite.
Friendly service and price too. I tried the coffee and an incredible apple pie!
Well, I will inevitably come back more often.“

“A great little cafe on a narrow street with the best breakfast/brunch. Freshly squeezed juice, super good bread, croissants, yogurt with granola, egg - everything you could wish for. Breakfast includes a hot drink and a juice.
We were here two years ago and were so excited that we came here several times in one week and now we absolutely had to eat our only breakfast in Lisbon here.“

“Really, the best egg tart restaurant...
Natajip is a must-eat when you come to Lisbon.
The takeout line moves quickly, so don't give up. Just wait in the takeout line and buy at least 6 haha.
It’s really delicious so people eat it a lot haha.“

“Place where they sell sandwiches and burchettas. There is a variety of foods, some cheaper than others. The owner is a very nice person. Although the place is small, it is worth it, it is rich and it is a place where locals go, which creates a better atmosphere than many others that are too touristy.
Vegetarian options: It has some sandwiches and burchettas that do not have meat, but rather tomato, cheese and dressing“

“In general, this place is the most delicious because:
1. The taste of eggs can be felt in the custard (in many cases, it is like a sweet cream puff).
2. The pastry is a bit salty.
no see.
If you prefer a sweet and salty combination, it will definitely be delicious!“

“Amazingly juicy bifanas (pork & bread sandwich) for 3 euros. If I lived here I’d have breakfast here at least 3 times a week.It only took 1 minute from order to having the food in hand, and the super cute elderly couple that runs it just adds to the experience ❤️“

“Top croissant in Lisbon!
The scrambled eggs and the poached eggs are also very good.
Açaí bowl is in balance with the granola and with the fruit.
Only things what l don’t like here are the drinks (l tried: orange juice, smoothies, ice latte).“

“Small place but with very good service and quality of food. We ordered a melon smoothie and the girl recommended us with mint and a total success in addition to the toast that she also recommended.
We do not hesitate to repeat if we return and we 100% recommend it.
You also have to try the dessert, they are all handmade!!!
The only thing you have to pay in cash.“

“Excellent food, excellent service.
As for the environment, it's very good, but the music is a little loud and can be disturbing for those with hearing limitations. Still a good recommendation. The price is not the cheapest, but it is not absurdly expensive either.
I would definitely return!“

“Die veganen Gerichte nehmen den Großteil der Karte ein, sind hervorragend gekennzeichnet und überzeugen im Geschmack. Der Besitzer ist eine richtige Süßmaus und der Service ist klasse. Unter dem Laden fährt irgendwo die Metro lang und es rappelt manchmal leicht aber ich persönlich finde das ziemlich witzig und cool. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-13“

“We were going with the main idea of going to LX factory, but we noticed this small restaurant nearby, it's like the covers never show the interior, we decided to try it...
Freshly made pica pau, very tasty, the food is fresh, top music... I can say it was a good experience and we will certainly go back.“

“The food and service was wonderful. We order many dishes and would recommend trying a variety of things. The tables and chairs aren’t the most comfortable, but it was fine for a short brunch experience. Love the ambience and the prices were average.“

“This is where the locals eat, drink tea, and drink. We went at 9:00 pm, but the daily menu was sold out and fish or meat could be grilled, so we ordered fish. It came with grouper-like fish, thick vegetables, carrots and potatoes. It tasted so good when I ate it with lemon and olive oil. The seasoning was just right for the taste of Koreans, and there was plenty of seasoning. The owner and chef don't speak English, but the friendly neighbors translated for me, so I didn't feel uncomfortable. Friendly and delicious food Obrigado♥♥We made our second visit. I went around 7:30 in the evening, and the daily menu was still there, so I ordered the fish and meat I ate yesterday. Now that I'm done with my cooked and healthy raw vegetables, he asks if I'd like more. We ate plenty of vegetables courtesy of the kind chef Antonio. We drank white wine and red wine respectively and even ate chocolate pudding. Benfica won today, so all the guests and Antonio are happy, so we feel good too. Benfica fans go here for football night. Share a bijou with your neighbors who spent Valentine's Day romantically, and fully enjoy Antonio's perfect food and the cheers of Benfica fans.We love Antonio. Your foods are perfect. We don't forget your kind. Thank you so much Romantic mama. We will be on another flight from Korea to Portugal because of you and Antonio. We love you romantic mama.“
“A discovery!!! The best Belem cream cakes in Lisbon... Hidden next to an alley next to the Martín Morriz metro exit. They are very friendly and the cakes you order are given freshly made... It has been our place for breakfast while we have been sightseeing in Lisbon. A real success!!!“

“I had the vegan Brunch and it was very delicious. The „scrambled eggs“ were incredible and the portion was quite large. The waiter asked if I was vegan and told me that they didn’t only have the vegan brunch and the açai bowl as vegan options but could also modify some other dishes to make them vegan. The service was great even tho it was extremely busy.“

“This place is a gem! We needed a place near the airport and were lucky enough to find this establishment. The food was delicious and the proprietor was so welcoming. If we are ever near the Lisbon airport again, I will make sure to stop here again!“

“They have couple of vegan options for brunch. The atmoshpere of the place is nice with a nice decor and chill music. It can be quite crowded (sometime there is a line to wait to get a table). The portions are quite big, and also tasty. I have tried the vegan shakshuka, it was made by sweetened tomatoes, which I personally prefer to use it as fresh as they are.“

“Chapito has amazing views over Lisbon and the river. Service is fantastic and menu is small but sufficient. We had beef cheeks and they were very delicious, although served a bit cold and portions to the small side. Guinea fowl was fine but nothing special, the prok carre was very undercooked but the garnish was good. We tried all three deserts and they were marvelous. Recommended.“

“A very atmospheric, beautiful place in the art deco style, a must-see on the itinerary of anyone who has encountered the work of the Portuguese poet Pessoja, but in my opinion everyone will find pleasure in coffee and a sweet or salty snack in this place. I recommend!“

“Had breakfast with 4 people for €60, great price for good food. We got the idea that the staff knows that tourists come here and is therefore not very customer friendly. Only grumpy faces while taking in and serving food.
All in all, good food for a good price, but you can't start your day pleasantly.“

“A super nice small place with a few tables on the hill. Definitely our favourite place for a drink or a small bite in Alfama. Service is always friendly, professional, and quick. Tuna-chickpea salad and the portuguese bruschettas are super nice. An extra plus for being able to listen to the Fado music from the next door restaurant. and a plus plus for happy hour (17-19) sangria :D
Vegetarian options: Many different cheese (goat cheese, azores cheese etc) options on salads and sandwiches. Limited on vegan options. If you eat fish there's loads to choose from.“

“I think the most pretty coffee bar in Alfama of Lisbon, with magnificent panoramic views, piano music, passionate staffs... A nice place to spend chill afternoon tea time having small talks with friends here.

“A restaurant with a family atmosphere, they make one of the best bites to eat in greater Lisbon, the quality and price is very good, a bite costs €10, the decoration of the space is pleasant and the service is good. There's only one problem they don't make payments by ATM.“
“In fact, I didn't eat at the restaurant, but I have to praise the service received. Unfortunately, as I live in Porto, I ordered a take away over the phone from the supposed "Flatia Doce". However, I got confused when typing in Google and the number that appeared was the "sweet slice". I only realized the confusion when I went to get the food at "Flatia Doce". I promptly called the lady and apologized. And I ask again. Thank you for understanding and I hope one day I can reward Los personally. Thank you very much and once again, I sincerely apologize for this confusion.“

“My favorite spot near home is perfect for breakfasts, especially for enjoying an arrufada ou pão de deus, which is definitely my favorite treat there.
The place is small but cozy, and the staff is always friendly.
The food is of high quality and reasonably priced. Just a heads up, if you want to pay by card, you need to spend over 5 euros, so be sure to bring some cash as well.“

“We ate there yesterday, 4 of us, on the terrace. We had thought about eating at the LX factory, but we got scared when we saw the prices and the tourist trap nature of the place. We then wandered a little further and came across this little restaurant on the corner of a crossroads. We ate: cod, sea bass, sea bream, beef. Everything was very good for €73, wine, coffee, tea included.“

“I was traveling for work and wanted to grab a quick dinner. Stopped at Cafe Nicola and enjoyed some vino verde with a beautiful fresh salmon dinner. Had wonderful conversations with the friendly staff. Service was prompt, staff spoke English, and heat lamps made for a comfortable dining experience outside in January. Special shout out to Jonnatan who went above and beyond in ensuring the service was perfect. Will definitely return!“
“The cafe with seating is located within the park. During the week it's less noisy as the weekend brings lots of families and kids enjoying the park. The staff is friendly yet noticeably loud as they yell through the windows to each other.
Kid-friendliness: Parents relax and sit with their drinks while the kids run around and play.“

“We found it very pleasant to eat at Basilio.
The burgers were spectacular and the gluten-free carrot cake... was a very good final cherry on top.
We were able to access it with our beloved pet without any problem, where we were able to adapt the space with the tables to make everyone comfortable.
We cannot fail to mention the exquisite attention of the staff, especially Pedro.
Thank you very much and keep up the good work. Without a doubt, we recommend going...
Dietary restrictions: With great kindness, they can adapt dishes to be able to eat gluten-free.“
“Located in Chelas (Bairro das Amendoeiras) opposite Finance, a pleasant corner with a well-designed terrace for moments of leisure. “Hotel excelente em Lisboa, ótima localização, super confortável e equipe de atendimento impecável. Dispõe de acomodações para necessidades especiais em quarto amplo e muito confortável para 3 pessoas. O ajudante Paulo merece destaque pela gentiliza e presteza.“
“Amazing :-).The menu is only in Portuguese, but the staff is multilingual, so it's not a problem. In fact, I rarely get so pleasantly surprised by something. I will remember that great soft meatball with perfectly fried potatoes for a long time (plus pickled cauliflower and olives, cool). Too bad I didn't have room for dessert. It is (probably) an averagely expensive business in a pleasant location and with a pleasant atmosphere. One-star staff.“

“Too bad there are only five stars, this nugget deserves much more. The pastries and cakes are delicious. Salty too. You can eat to take away or on site. The drinks are very good and the orange juice exceptional and inexpensive. It's nice to find affordable prices in the neighborhood. Special mention for the boss who is friendly, helpful and speaks at least five languages. THANKS“
