What a little gem. It is a very small and simple place. The owner/proprietor was great. Really interesting man. The pizzas were excellent. One of our daughters said it was her favourite meal of the week. Definitely put it on your list
This was our favorite meal during our week in Portugal, even counting the 1-star Michelin restaurant in Porto. This small family-owned restaurant/tavern had a rustic feel (beautiful dark woods), excellent, hearty food, an enthusiastic attentive staff, and although no one there spoke English, we had no trouble communicating. When we sat down, we noticed the large party at the table next to us had two huge barbecue spits - one loaded with prawns the other with hunks of beef. So we pointed and they were delivered. We also ordered a few dishes from the menu and then asked that they add anything else they were proud of that they thought we would like. Generous portions of everything came, the wine was excellent, we laughed and had a grand meal. Extremely reasonable cost. Parking was easy for us - there's a small lot in the adjacent square. Very picturesque part of town. Though Vila Franca de Xira is listed as a city of 100,000, this area had the feel of an old village. Highly recommend. -an experienced traveler
Very small one man business, very nice host. The pizza's were exceptional good, very close to perfection. Maybe the best we ever had. And all this at a very good price.
Great pizza, wonderful owner, and met people from all over the world. Very rememberable experience.
This was perfect for a quick bite on our first night in Carvoeiro after a long trip, and was very reasonably priced. It’s a bit rough around the edges but you get what you pay for and couldn’t fault it. The house wine was very acceptable
Our dining experience at Forno do Fraser was fantastic. The service was efficient and friendly, we were even greeted by the owner (and head chef) upon arrival, which was a nice touch. It is a very authentic restaurant and there were several locals eating there which is usually a good sign. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and return upon my next visit to Carveiro. By far the best pizzas in town!
This tiny restaurant produces simply gorgeous authentic pizza - we absolutely loved it. Not the place for a romantic meal for two as it is very busy with people collecting takeaways etc. but the food was delicious - and incredibly good value.
Your roasted chicken is wonderful

The food was delicious here and such good value! The sauce on the pizza was so good you would nearly drink it. Starter of garlic bread which was enough for 2 to share, 2 pizzas and a bottle of wine for 35.00. Would highly recommend!
Really good food and attentive service. Recommended.
Mr Sérgio is 5 stars, but not when he's up to date, he doesn't know how to satisfy customers, he's rude and rude, but the kitchen is very homely, the cook (his wife), a show
