The food is average, the service and atmosphere are better. The area has become too touristy and they have inflated the prices quite a bit although the portions were generous.

I went for family lunch on a Sunday. We ordered wild boar and sliced steak. The steak was good but the wild boar was tough and dry. It only tasted like orange sauce and we couldn't even eat much of it due to the condition and flavor of the meat. In addition to this, we waited around 1 hour for the food - when they were recommended dishes, so we assumed they would be relatively quick. In the end, we paid €125 for 4 people and left very dissatisfied and disappointed. It was the first time we went here, and, unfortunately, the last time too.
The only positive points of this restaurant are the atmosphere, location and the lady's service.

The restaurant looks like a chicken coop inside. Completely disorganized, we didn't finish the starters and canceled the meal. The clams were full of sand. Lack of hygiene.

Terrific little restaurant right on the beach. The service staff were very friendly and recommended great choices for us. The Amêijoas de Bulhão do Pato were very tasty and tender, some of the best we have ever had. Some items were only offered on weekends so be sure to check before you go.
Kid-friendliness: They do offer a small selection for kids.
